Just from a mana point of view you could probably get away with dropping 2 plains and taking an extra wakestone gargoyle & rage nimbus.

Changed out the kaldra's gear for some no-dachi and a Spearbreaker Behemoth. Took out 2 Gnalid pack for another longbow and arrogant wurm.
Ah okay that makes sense, Cool theme.. hope your cousin enjoys it :)
No Goblin Chieftain?
A couple of interesting extra cards that might be worth putting in (in keeping with the cat theme): Leonin Skyhunter (for some flying) Sabertooth Nishoba (as a bigger hitter 5/5) Panther Warriors (as a big hitter 6/3) I'm also a big fan of: Mirri, Cat Warrior Jedit Ojanen of Efrava
Sadly I don;t have a Asceticism but yeah that would be really handy.
I was actually thinking of removing the rampant growths anyway. Since the vine trellis & Llanowar elves give mana, they may have been overkill considering the mana curve isn't exactly demanding. or 1st strike options I don't really have many options in my collection. I guess I could swap out something for: No-dachi or sparring collar Big creatures I do have some options (switch out the Rhoxs maybe): Spearbreaker Behemoth Molimo, Maro-Sorcerer or Krosan Colossus (lol)
Verdeloth the Ancient might be a nice addition to this deck.
