Deck discussion for B/R Vampires

To put simply, I don't like the Falkenrath Aristocrats.

You do not have a great sacrifice outlet, despite having a lot of creatures here. I'd think that you'd sac Child of Night, but if you sac'ed anything else, you might lose a creature that is very helpful. Maybe have a few Reassembling Skeletons in here, since it's still standard.

Either that, or replace them with 2 Olivia Voldaren's and 2 Bloodlord's of Vaasgoth. Most people tell me Vaasgoth is useless, but if you Shock'ed them or attacked them, you could use his abilities to his fullest. He is a little expensive for Bloodthirst, however, so again, the choice is yours. I'd highly suggest Olivia, however.

Olivia is something i definitely want to work into this, if it even means just tossing two of her in. I can't believe i overlooked her when i made this. The Bloodlord, while with great potential, i find is too slow for the way i often have to compete with opponents in a tourney. Reassembling Skeleton would be excellent cannon fodder to keep Aristocrat indestructible so i would like to try that out as well. To be completely honest, the Aristocrats have carried me to victory quite often and would be difficult to let go. As long as Rakish Heir is standing behind her and i have others to sacrifice, she's really quite the bi*ch to get rid of and an ever growing problem to block with my removal spells preventing creatures able to do so. -1 spells, Oblivion Ring and a souped up Fiend Hunter are the only problems i generally run into.

I understand. If you have the Aristocrat on hand, then by all means, keep using her. Truthfully, The haste, flying, and partial indestructibility make her not only difficult to deal with, but also makes her one of those "I'm not worried yet" cards.

Here's an example of a "I'm worried now" kind of card: Any of the Praetors. Once your opponent plays it, you are now on a fast-track to killing it ASAP. The thing with the Aristocrat is that she is highly deceiving, and with such pretties like Rakish Heir and Stromkirk Captain, she's not really going to have to worry too much about -1 damage.

I also understand the Vaasgoth problem. Yeah... by time I've been able to play him, I've got 4+ vampires out, and the game is nearly over.
