Deck discussion for That's Enough Life For You

Sublime Archangel seems misplaced. I would recommend using Leyline of Vitality, or Trostani instead. Its hard to beat life gained upon entering the battlefield.

yeah the sublime archangel really does feel kinda out of place here.

Meh, Its mainly in there because I already have it, and its the only inherent flyer I have if I don't have 30 or more life. It also combo's REALLY well with the silverblade paladin. I'm thinking of replacing the pelakka wurms with thragtusk but I'm not sure.

tree of redemption/rhox faithmender combo with sheltering word is win by absurd life gain, 3600 or so my record life gain in a turn, opponent quit. With serra avatar and unflinching courage/behemoth sledge its beyond overkill

only real answers to that are malignus with enchantments or master of cruelties but not really. maybe a cryptborn horror when you do a fat tree of redemption tap swap and lower your health a ridiculous amount during your opponents turn probably after combat. not many things to beat it though

In Modern you could always drop Sanguine Bond and Exquisite Blood or use Blood Tribute (Kicked of coarse).

should really have Loxodon Warhammer, Unflinching Courage, Behemoth Sledge, Armadillo Cloak and Trostani.
Verdant Haven isnt very good, And unlike the other two, I actually like sublime archangel in this deck as a one or two of, but you need a reason. a loxodon smiter with an unflinching courage, a loxodon Warhammer attacking alone with 5 other creatures on the board could be a pretty good reason. a 14/11 trample lifelink...seems good. Paired with a silverblade? ok. lol

Verdant haven is mainly in there for Arbor elf abuse otherwise it would be better to run lanowar and rampant growth or harrowing.

you should just run Llanowar, and fill that spot with something more useful...

Will probably dump arbor for Llanowar, but what about verdant haven? I'm trying to keep the deck modern. The only card this site say's isn't modern in my deck is path to exile, but it was just released in modern masters. Maybe replace the verdant haven with survival cache?

replace it with one of the cards I listed lol. those are all great lifelink options, and they deter people from attacking into you. Also, Extended is NOT Modern, and for some reason this site doesnt have amodern legal listing. Path is fine for Modern.

Ah, I thought they were the same. My bad then. The only thing on your list to replace haven with is Unflinching Courage and Trostani... hmmm I like the creature count where it is though, we'll see how unflinching courage works out.

Behemoth Sledge and Loxodon Warhammer are both Modern Legal as well

Awesome, Behemoth sledge it is then. What are your thoughts on Dawnglow Infusion? I'm still a bit iffy on including it.

maybe as a one-of. its an (x) cost that potentially doubles X to give you a ton of life late game, but you may not need it. I dont think Chalice is particularly necessary here either.

I'm a bit partial to the chalice. Especially in my area, people really hate it, so they tend to waste removal on it, and it doesn't really hurt the deck too bad. It's really a meta play. May replace one or both dawnglow's with condemn.

condemn is OK, but with Path, and big lifelink blockers, I think you have plenty of removal. Rancor is always good, even Ethereal Armor would be fun .

I knew I was forgetting something. I love Rancor. I'm going to stop messing with it for a little bit so that I can proxy what I dont have and see how it runs against some friends. Thanks for all the input though.
