Deck Description

So, everyone's heard of a tribal deck, right? Well, the way me and my friends play it, you can only have creatures of the chosen creature type. After all, is it really a demon deck if you add humans or a wurm deck if you add elves? No, then it's just another deck that you happen to have creatures in. You might as well throw in other stuff as well. Anyway, so me and my friends play with only creatures of our creature type, and I chose zombies. These are all cards that I actually have, and I just wanted to share this with you guys. It's also not one of those ridiculous decks that call for 4 of a $50 Planeswalker or 4 Phyrexian Obliterators. This is an average deck that everyone should be able to make.

How to Play

This deck runs on Diregraf Captain. Any good B/U zombie deck does. That's the card that makes people hesitant to attack, especially if you have multiple. The Captains go hand in hand with Endless Ranks of the Dead, and most of the zombies have low casting costs so that you can get more 2/2 tokens a lot faster. If things get heavy, or is some dick pulls out an Angel of Glory's Rise on you, there's always Damnation. And, provided they DON'T have the previously mentioned angel, Damnation plus Grimoire of the Dead gives you back your own zombies, while giving you your opponents' creatures. And then it turns them into Zombies. For Endless Ranks of the Dead to have a field day with. Mikaeus and Havengul Lich allow you to effortlessly sacrifice your creatures, either to Grimgrin or blocking, and not really lose anything.

Really, this is all about getting as many 2/2s as you can, and throwing them at your enemies in an unstoppable wave, which is what zombies are supposed to do. This may seem like a really simple tactic, but let me tell you a little secret: my last game I had 134 2/2s in a 5 player FFA. The wait is worth it.
