Izzet Infinity

Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

*Red + Blue

*2 Infin Damage Combos:
Niv-Mizzet + Curiosity, and Izzet Guildmage + Lava Spike spliced with Desperate Ritual

*Kinda based around a specific block.

*Also, it's like 60 bucks to buy the cards online, at least at CardKingdom...
Please tell me if you know how to get them cheaper.
Also, i'm open to criticism. Help if you can!

Deck discussion for Izzet Infinity

I got one thing to say, you need a lot more lands, like 24 maybe, 22 could work, otherwise though i like it! (= consider adding counterspells to protect your importants dudes our slow down your opponent.

if you dont mind, please look at this deck aswell, and i'll look at one of your others! (=

and btw, name the deck after its guildcolours, izzet! :D

Hey ty for the comments. I thought maybe it could use some more lands, but i like to keep my decks to 60 cards. But, if it'll help.....
Are there any B/R counters you know of?

A deck should always be 60 cards, so you would have to take somethimg out :/

I looked up some b/r counterspells, but only found suffocating blast, which seems pretty bad.. if you want some counterspells, stick to cards like mana leak, counterspell or even negate and remove soul :)

Odds//Ends (dual card).
It's a good card in the right situation.

I thought about a thing, you could build the deck more around the inifinite combos. Like ways to dig for it(preordain, ponder), and ways to protect it (spellskite, counterspells, glen alandra archmage). Althought it kinda leaves the izzet theme, but you could make a new deck instead of changing this one :)

So, you linked me to this. What would you like me to do? Break the Izzet draw? Cause I can do that no problem. It's one of my favorite kinds of decks.

Just wanted to know how to improve the deck and maybe get a like.

Thanks for stopping by.

I had actually already liked it before you linked it. XD

It looks decent as is, actually. Though I'd toss Stitch in Time, personally.

It's just for casual play, so i'll use Curiosity. Its cheaper.

Hey sweet deck. A few things i noticed, one Curiosity only works on enchanted creatures, but you dont have any enchantment auras, making it useless... Unless im miss reading the card... I would either add some enchantments auras like, Clout of Dominus, (it fits the theme and can be deadly with waterfall mimic. Turn two play waterfall mimic, turn three play clout and attach to mimic, bamb! 5,5 unblock-able creature on turn 3.) Or you could takeout curiosity. Also try adding cast through time, it work great since you have 2 jhoira of the ghitu. Try running 3 brainstorms instead of divination, it cost 1 to play and counts as drawing 3 and you can copy it with guildmage.

Check out my Red Blue deck. its kinda all over the place right now but im working out how i want it to run... http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=229803

Curiosity enchants a creature.... so the effect works on the creature it enchants.
But, ty for the other ideas, i'll be sure to look into those!

mind over matter niv and curiosity would be a cool combo, but otherwise not much to suggest as i know your sticking to a budget and a specif block, looks a good solid build though well done, no obvious critism, well done.

Why Lavaspike? Go with a good old fashioned Lightning Bolt :)

Lava spike is an arcane. This lets you combine lava spike and desperate ritual, and copy them both for one price. You can then copy them again and again and again with the mana from desperate ritual, doing three damage every time you copy them together. Very effective.

I like too add a few training grounds, personally. Training Grounds lets you copy spells with Guild mages effect for 1 mana instead of three. That makes things a whole lot different. With 7 mana on the field, a the lava spike would kill your opponent without the desperate ritual.

Ive made a deck similar to this one and use it regularly on MTGO! Nice ideas but im sure you could cut loads more from the deck to really focus on pulling off the Niv-Mizzet combo

Check mine out - http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=233980

You can put some Rite of Flame, Training Grounds and Fire balls to open up more possibilities for combos with Izzet Guildmage.
