cool concept, but without adding at least some artifact lands it would be way too slow

It depends a bit on the draw, sure, but there are 20 zero cost artifacts in there (I'm thinking Mox Opal would be a good add, so if affinity gets them down to 1 casting cost you can play them) which is essentially your land base in this case.
