Deck Description

This is what I call my 'toolbox naya deck' because I think it has a lot of the tools to be a very competitive deck in the new modern.

I feel like there is going to be a resurgence in control with the loss of POD and Delver in the meta. This is why I mainboard the Loxodon Smiters and the Voice of Resurgence, and the sideboard choke and savage summoning.

So far the deck has been competing at a very high level. As always the criticisms' and critiques are very much appreciated!

How to Play

The hope is to out aggro your opponent on game 1. On the play this is a very easy thing to accomplish. On the draw it is still capable of a very quick blowout.

Game 2 we have the sideboard that should keep us in any game. Savage Summining, choke, and thrun for the control matchup. Mirran Crusader for the junk and jund matchups. Fiendslayer for the jund and burn matchup. Kataki for the affinity matchup. oblivion ring for anything that is too hot to handle with other sideboard options.

Note: manlands are the shit. That is all.

It looks to be very solid overall and I think it could definitely do work in the meta game right now. It think Knight of the Reliquary and Tarmogoyf would be great additions though. However that is just my opinion. Personally I like them because of how fetches and Knight feed Tarmogoyf.

I agree 100% that tarmogoyf would be a heck of an updgrade over realy any creature in the deck. Depending on what I take out for him changes the strategy a bit, i.e. if I take out say a kird ape, it slows down the build, where as I take out smiter it would speed it up. The real reason I (and anyone else) don't have this in the deck is I cannot afford him. lol.

I did have knight of the reliquary in the deck for a long time, I recently dropped him for loxodon smiter because I think there is going to be a lot more control in the upcoming meta.

Thank you for the comment! Let me know if there is a deck you would like an opinion on!
