Deck discussion for Faceroll

Um, it doesn't say you can play it without paying it's mana cost, just that you can play it.

NO! keep them!!!

*PLAY means you can put them on the battlefield.

What you're thinking of is "Cast", if it says "cast", it is from your hand, therefore costing mana. If it says "PLAY", that means from wherever the card resides, costing no mana.

that is false my friend. PLAY and CAST are the same thing. "put onto the battlefield" is "put onto the battlefield," like Elvish Piper's ability.

i hate to break it to you but, Dyrad Arbor does not have haste.... and you have to pay the mana for panglacial wurm... so unless you have 8 mana available on turn 1 you cannot get it out.

Panglacial wurm does have a separate ruling, so you're right there.

However, play does NOT mean cast, and it's like "Magus of the Future", and does not need to pay the mana cost.

I looked up rulings on the wurm, you do in fact need to pay the mana cost, which is why i took them out.
Dryad arbor doesn't specifically say it has haste, but the card says "isn't affected by summoning sickness" i know this is just so that you can tap it for mana on turn 1, but i cant find any ruling that says you cant attack with it on turn one either.
