Deck Description

Deck created for a "War of the Guilds" Ravnica themed event we're running at our game night. It'll consist of 2 pentagon games run over a few weekly meet-ups.
The deck construction is pretty lax but with a couple of restrictions: no boring "just for the win" legacy and it has to 1 incorporate either a guild leader character or a guild champion, 2 only contain colour identity lands and 3 try to stick to the ideals of the guild.
My deck ended up coming out fairly modern and singleton (mainly because I'm an EDH player first and foremost). The initial basis for the deck was taken for the Planeschase 2012 "Primordial Hunger" deck based on the devouring and with Borborygmos thrown in. But after some thought I found that the devour mechanic wasn't something I could really get working and thought "what makes borborygmos special?" and decided to push the +1/+1 counters and make him a force multiplier.
This lead to discoveries such as Ion Storm and Stingmoggie.
Also make note that this deck list is meant to be with a mind to what I have available and would easily get my hands on without costing the earth (hence the 2 planeswalkers being in the sideboard).

How to Play

Not sure yet.
Online testing has proved it's not a brilliant 1-on-1 deck and the singleton nature makes it quite unpredictable (though not sure where I would take it if I were to try and remove some cards for multiples of others).
Basic idea I have is to look for 2 forests and a farseek in opening hand preferably and then trying to ramp into red and nykthos.
I've tried to balance it out with a decent amount of one and two drops to cover early defence (boosted with Ordeal of Nylea for ramp) and they can be devoured later on if necessary for the needed boosts. (A nice early combo is having Pyreheart on the field, playing champ of lambholt and then devouring Pyreheart with a thunder-thrash elder).
Critical mass would ideally have borborygmos laying the beatdown and boosting Champion of Lambholt to add a level of evasion. While Borb and his beasts are doing the beatdown for the win, he should also be causing lots of counters for synergy with Ion Storm and Stingmoggie to aid with threat removal.

Those are just the general shape of the deck, suggestions are welcome!
