Sorceries (3)

Instants (6)

Enchantments (6)

Deck Description

I originally made this deck as a standard treefolk deck but it has since become extended.

Once Leaf-Crowned Elder and/or Lurking Predators is out, the treefolks just keep rolling.

looks like a good deck. One thing that might be fun with Doran is Conclave Blessing, maybe not the best for a higher costing treefolk deck though ive never actually played one.

it would go nice in the deck but Im trying to keep the deck standard legal. i dont no if there is a card like it that is in the standard set.

im thinking of removing two Reach of Branches and replacing them with 2 Lignify

That could work. Are you planning it as a spell to weaken an opponent's creature, or to buff your own? If it is a neutralizing spell, it might give them an advantage when Doran is out

This might be a little obvious but it might have some problems with flying, i would suggest some Cloudcrown Oaks http://magiccards.info/lw/en/201.html

The deck is week against flying but if I know my opponents deck is flying ill put in Raking Canopy from my side board and hopefully it will help

why not instead of Raking canopy you put in Spidersilk armor. basically gives all your treefolk reach along with a small toughness boost.

ya i saw raking canopy in the sideboard after i commented. Very very nice deck, i have a treedeck of my own but it is lack luster. I was thinking of how it would work if u took out 4 of the dorans, 4 reach of branches and put in 4 Guardian of Cloverdell http://magiccards.info/lw/en/216.html and Shield of the Oversoul http://magiccards.info/shm/en/242.html. The guardians bring in some more guys which you can use for health while the shield of the oversoul is... well... Its just awesome.

Are you lignifying your own creatures? If you have Doran down and lignify one of your opponents creatures you just made it a 4/4 relatively speaking. I would use Path to Exile or Doomblade for instant speed removal and Oblivion Ring or Pacifism for enchantment removal.

Very very nice deck. I have a similar treefolk deck that uses Indomitable Ancients + Doran to deal big damage, although i think my own deck would pale in comparison to this one. Very nice job.

Add Sapling of Colfenor, for life. if you have the money Gaea’s Cradle and dual lands instead of plains and swamps. And you really need some better protection for flying. But a really nice deck. Almost similar to mine

with doran, Indomitable Ancients is great!! specially in combo with Sapling of Colfenor and Treefolk Harbringer.

my friend has almost the same deck, except with some additional cards. i can say it's not that unstoppable. it's biggest weakness is that it is veeery slow. by the time he gets the indestructible treefolk and doran, he is nearly dead by my goblins..

I could see how this deck could be slow but, if you get a Bosk Banneret in your opening hand and 2 green mana your golden. That makes the Leave-crowned eder 2 less, so now a turn 3 drop, then if on the same turn or next turn you play treefold harbinger you can then pull a Timber protector or a unstoppable ash on turn 4 put it into play without paying for it and then draw a card with 4 mana to spend for whatever is in your hand. Having 3 plus creatures out on turn 4 that have a pretty good def to them is pretty good I’d say. ? of course this would be one of the best case scenarios that this deck could pull out. ?

This is a comment to LurkerDark. The Bosk bannerett's ability: would it take off two since it's one whole ability? I know the reason the sepereated the abilities on Grand Aribiter Augustin IV is so that if it was blue/white it would be 2 less. Since the bannerett's ability is "Treefolk and shaman spells you play cost 1 less to play", would it only make it one cheaper, or would both "Treefolk" & "Shaman" on the Elder ding that ability seperately? Just curious?

No, creatures don't "double dip" from abilities like Bosk Bannerett. It's 1 less, even if they share both types.

May I direct you to my very similar treefolk deck http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=146546- it uses some changelings for removal that is treefolk tribal, so you can grab removal with a harbinger if you need to. It is a tad slow, but when it goes off, it's very powerful.

why 4 doran? they are legendary . . .

0

I've always thought having more than one legendary is a good idea. If it's destroyed, you still want a replacement. That, and it's easier to get a hold of.

Well, since my goblins are based on instant and fast damage, I try killing every single creature which might give you combat benefits. So whoever you summon something, I kill it. I usually get benefits from sacrificing so yea :D

Hi there, i loved ur deck :)

so much that i went to investigate treefolks,

Sugestion, that i don't know how it will work, but it enlightens the deck.

swap Dauntless Dourbark for Dungrove Elder.

losing trample and gaining hexproof and less mana expensive.
