Deck discussion for Standard Werewolves

Looks good. I suggest 2 more Mondronen Shaman, so you can make your werewolves flip or else. Instead of Lambholt or Ranger?

Sorry, I forgot about sideboard: I'd suggest Naturalize or Ancient Grudge, Nihil Spellbomb, and Elixir of Immortality. Autumn's Veil is fun, and so is Combust.

Also, could you return the favor and look at my pod deck? http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=291254

Good building, and good luck at FNM.

deffinately need 4 reckless waif their the best werewolf card, its 1st turn pressure, ive lost to only the waifs before

daybreak ranger dosnt really look worth it

you need birds of paradise for the manna ramp

4 huntsmaster of the fells if you can

and maybe some swords, they give pro 2 colors each which makes them unblockable to those colors and verry hard to kill

hope it was helpfull

I can understand the reason for 4 waifs as they are awesome early on but I don't know what to take out for them. Same with Huntmaster, it is really good, but there isn't much to take out for it. Daybreak ranger is sort of a source of killing flyers and things that don't want to die. Mana ramp isn't incredibly important cause the most expensive card in this deck costs 4. Swords could definitely be useful for the sideboard.

I would definitely take out the Lambholt elder's since they're really a do nothing werewolf.

This one's mine werewolf deck and I might sideboard some Daybreak rangers for the flyers! :p

WHAT?! birds is awful in this deck. ima be honest with you dude, tribal decks like this its all pick and choose. theres just so much synergy that its kinda like putting a straw thru a lid. everyone goes a different angle, but it all goes the same place. the only thing im not liking is ur mana base. u should be playing 4 copperline gorges and 4 rootbound crags. no discussion. and also when u do ur basics, make sure u lean slightly towards mountains so u can make sure you have the red for turn one waif turn 3 outlaw. nothing crazy like 10-2, but i mean mine for example is 8-5 i believe. its good man, just fix yo manas and good luck

Nice deck. I've been looking more and more at doing a werewolf deck, but haven't gotten down the strategy I want yet. But this is nice. I agree, that it was a good move to put in copperline gorges and rootbound crags. Nice job.

One thing I have learnt from my werewolf deck is that immerwolf and huntsmaster do not work together as you need to have huntsmaster transform to be decent. I would recommend take the huntsmasters out and have a full playset of waifs :) I'll be uploading my werewolf deck soon if you would like it is standard and does well everytime I play it. Good luck I'll check back later to see how things are going.

Hmm...that does seem like a good idea. Plus it would cut the cost significantly :D

Consolidate your creatures, I went 4-0 last Tuesday playing werewolves. I've been lazy though. I'll have to build it on here and show link.

My suggestion would be to maybe lower the mana curve slightly to increase the pressure early and get board presence. Beast Within are more of a sideboard card (imo) and brimstone volley are more of a dead card when werewolves have so much beef on their own. Once they start trampling, direct player burn is somewhat obsolete.

My deck isn't perfect but I can't really afford to go out and hunt down specific cards so I have just been working with what I own, and its coming along very nicely. I have 2 briarpack alpha in my deck also which are an awesome flash card for offense (to get that last few damage done) or defense for a chump block or instant buff.

All in all your deck is looking really good though and best of luck to you at your FNM matches.

I'm not going to bother posting my deck link on here, its simple enough to just click my name and find my deck, I only have a few uploaded on here.

Cheers.
