Deck discussion for Eldrazi. The right way

The only thing that I see off is that you have six Eye of Ugins.

You realize that elvish piper and quicksilver amulet don't actually cast the eldrazi right? I would suggest finding a way to use fist of suns.

As much as I love this deck, I would have to seriously disagree about it being "The Right Way" to do Eldrazi, because my buddy's Eldrazi deck religiously drops out at least one of three legends turn 4- turn 5. His is done mono-green and uses an insane amount of Mana-Ramp, Combine that with Elvish Piper and I usually two of them by turn 5-6. Let me talk to him and I will throw his Eldrazi deck list up here.

In all honesty I would drop it down to just 1 color, it would make it flow a lot easier. My brother has a Colorless Eldrazi deck that just simply kicks ass, it's not uploaded on here but I'll list it out if you want to get any ideas from it.

Artifacts
2x Essence Bottle
2x Hedron Matrix
4x Platinum Angel
4x Darksteel Plate
4x Manalith
4x Quicksilver Amulet

Creatures
2x Emrakul, the Aeons Torn
2x It That Betrays
4x Pathrazer of Ulamog
2x Spawnsire of Ulamog
4x Artisan of Kozilek

Land
4x Urza's Mine
4x Urza's Power Plant
4x Urza's Tower
4x Vesuva
4x Eldrazi Temple

Spells
2x All Is Dust
4x Demonic Tutor

Dropping an All Is Dust with a colorless deck just simply makes the other person want to give up, especially if it's 6-10 turns in when they've got more stuff on the field.

Thanks for the ideas, If I ever make a real Eldrazi deck I'll make it more like that.

Thanks guys. I think you are right about changing this to a mono green deck but ill try to make it as colorless as possible so that I can use All is Dust. Does anyone know if lands count as colored permanents?

0

The only land that is a colored permanent. Is Dryad Arbor which is the creature land. All other lands are colorless with a 0 zero CMC.

Thanks man, I was wondering if I would destroy my own mana by using All is Dust

This isn't the 'right' way. I used to run a mono green that saw emrakul out turn 4, and using omnath, elvish piper and (something predator, its an enchantment for 6 cmc that I've forgotten the name of) I didn't lose a single match for around 4-5 months straight.

This may be your way of doing the deck, but there are other 'right' ways.

I wasn't trying to insult anyone in naming this deck the "right" way for an eldrazi deck. I'm for sure not saying this is THE BEST eldrazi deck possible. What I AM saying is that I'm mixing eldrazi's with eldrazi drones... Which wouldn't have been created if not to be used with eldrazi. See what I mean?

I am a little confused with this deck. Well mainly Spawnsire Of Ulamog and his 20(T) Ability. IS it only cards from sideboard? Which I thought was only 15 cards or is out of game? If it's out of game I could just order thousands of Eldrazi's if I wanted too and just dump a bucket on the field?

This is my buddy's Eldrazi Deck, the one I mentioned is the absolute right way to do Eldrazi, you can not get the legends out faster then he does, shy of using a channel for one of them. Let me know what you think.

Very cool build 2hp10 - Also, some old cards could help your slight mana problem. Sol Ring / Mana Vault and/or Grim Monolith. If you'd like to go un-hurt, I'd suggest Voltaic Key.

What's your opinion of Elves ? They sure can generate mana !

http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=300537 is an example =)

Haha I totally agree about Elves man. They're pretty scary at both man ramping and creature ramping. But I made a deck for randomness that had 56 mana by turn 5. I'll post the link in a sec but I gotta look it up. Nice deck btw haha.

Hmmm. I see what you mean but, again, not trying to make a god deck. Just trying to use the spawns with the Eldrazi so that people could see what it looks like. Thanks for the suggestion though!! Sounds like a great idea. I especially like the deck you made. Seriously creepy.

I understand you want to take advantage of the Eldrazi Spawns.
If so, you really have to consider populate. But this would probably require you to splash to white. I don't know, I'm no expert of RTR.

Congrats for front page.

Hey 2hp10 I noticed the mention of splashing populate, As solid of an idea as that sounds, I strongly recommend you don't. I say this because I run populate for standard. Its really only useful and good if its ran W/G and only W/G. I'll even throw my Populate Deck list up here.

0

Ya, I know what you mean, all that I am going to do is put the enchantment where I populate at the beginning of my upkeep. No further changes,

I guess using growing ranks wouldn't be so bad seeing as your essentially using it as another Awakening Zone.

Nice deck, but have you thought about using an old staple, Basalt Monolith and Power Artifact for unlimited colorless mana? The only thing is it requires blue also inabling you to add counterspells for an added insurance.

0

Oh, also noticed you have Cloudpost remember, Glimmerpost are locus too doubling your mana if you have them in play and gaining life.

upon reading these comments I was pained to see how slow these decks seemed..so I am posting my own eldrazi deck http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=412482 why does nobody else run global haste for their eldrazi? haha
mine swings turn 3 or 4 pipering out one that same turn so your opponent doesnt have time to play answers the orim's chant pulls out their counters and once you swing the first time its over

0

you are also using spawnsires effect wrong. spawnsire specifically says to cast eldrazi cards from out of game. the sideboard is part of the deck and can only consist of 15 cards. so you should just carry around like 4 more deck boxes of eldrazi rape and use your side board more wisely.

... But I can't just say I have the cards. Easiest way to show on this site us to say it was in my sideboard. I get what your saying. Its not an actual sideboard haha.
