You kind of need a turn one drop, otherwise, not only are you only attacking at least turn three, but your creatures are still also open, it is too open unfortunately, but maybe splash blue for control.
Instead of lava spike, use lightning bolt.

I love Izzet myself, the colors can pretty diverse in strategy, for example, it could be control through a heavy reliance on blue, but then because it has blue, the deck could become a red damage deck. Izzet could even possibly be mid range combo. I feel that this deck is really creative, but this person should use serum visions instead of opt.
I recommend some land w/ some etb effect, Izzet boil works would be awsome w/ it. Like temple of Epiphany
Use discard and draw to over rule the opponent with damage. If anyone could give card suggestions, please give.
This would be really fun if you where to make it bant and use thraben inspector, confront the unknown, yet now this is no longer in standard.

You should use fevered visions if you want to have a little extra card draw and some damage to the face.
I do, although you may still need to make these cards correlate better because this combo is really circumstantial.
Their is very little cards that may allow you to pull this combo off though. Example, Captains claws and the ranger, that is it, so you could throw more allies, but that is really all you can do to improve this combo to do this even more.
This is pretty cool , ever since Amonkhet dropped, I've been wanting to create a -1/-1 counter deck. Maybe you can make an amazing modern deck that uses a few pherexian cards.
Yes, but that is if, you need a back up or maybe more of the same concept to do this with more synergy.
Their isn't quit enough Allies to keep doing that efficiently.
