Deck Description

im trying to get any badass spell under isochron septer like silence. That way they are completely shut down and after that ill just take my time and eventually win! I want this deck as consistent as possible and right now I don't think it really will be so if anyone has any ideas please let me know!

Deck discussion for Modern Isochron control!

No way man, I have the same problem! I'm making a scepter deck but mine also has red in it too!
I could do with some help if you don't mind?

Angels grace is nice for a big time staller...And I agree with echoing truth, I have it in my isochron deck and it's devastating...Mines not modern tho so I also have counterspell in it which is even scarier.

Serra Ascendant seems a but off for this deck, because your lifegain would only consist of him (a 1/1) and if you pull your wurmcoil... I think there is a better creature for his spot, like transcendent master or something =p

Muddle the Mixture might be a better play than Fabricate here. It will fetch you the Isochron but also be a counter in hand if you already have one (or two) in play.

I'm not really sold on the Ascendant either, or the life gain from Reunion. I think you'd be better off playing Echoing Truth (as previously mentioned) and/or look towards some option for spot removal (Geth's Verdict comes to mind but would involve splashing Black). That said, I don't know what to replace as a win con; my old Stick deck was paired with Stasis/Boomerang and a Morphling to win.

I'm not convinced on Truth or Tale, perhaps some of the Scry mechanics might be a better option so that you can keep things you need close to the top and sift the filler to the bottom without exposing too much. Serum Visions and Preordain would help in both areas; while they are both Sorceries, you wouldn't want them on the Stick anyway as you'd be using them to just sift through the deck.

yeah after I thought about it the life gain was getting my deck sidetracked. if I just take those out and then add muddle the mixture (great card; thank you for bringing it to my attention) and perhaps a divining top we could make this work!!
