Deck Description

Just a fun idea I was running with. Mimic Vat turns into a 3 mana Golem Factory. Precursor is glorious and dangerous all at the same time. Ranger's Guile for Protection, Artful dodge for the win. Shape Anew is there because at worst, a sac one Golem to bring out either A. S.S. B. Another Precursor(Turning 1 golem into 3) or C. Blightsteel.

Deck discussion for Henry Ford of.....Golems?

I read your comment on surewhynot's deck, and it made me sad/sympathetic.
For advice, look at my deck. I'd suggest doubling season, targeted spells with cantrips, etc.

And here's an extra comment, just for kicks.

Thanks alot. I was looking at Doubling Season, but I feel like it'd be an over investment. Plus, with my lack of +1/1 counters, Parallel Lifes would basically be the same thing. I digress; I feel like those cards are more productive for decks which focus on hordes of weaker tokens; this deck focuses on creating a few (more than 4 or 5). I could definitely play test it though. Thanks alot for he advice!

By hordes I meant like Elf deck or Zombie deck, where you likely have 10-20 tokens without Doubling Season

Looks really good for casual play. If you can get this in format (Asceticism instead of Privilege, Rampant growth instead of harrow, some removal instead of Lotus cobra, different lands), you could play at FNM.

Thanks! I actually got the Idea from a Zombie deck that uses Mimic Vat to imprint a Grave Titan, making 4 zombies per turn. I run that too =) . Mimic Vat is pretty broken

Can't believe it hasn't been stated yet, but I'm assuming you had terramorphics and evolving wilds in there for lotus cobra judging by a comment. They don't serve you any purpose anymore so I'd suggest grabbing Sunpetal Grove's, Razorverge Thicket, and the almighty Gavony Township (perfect for g/w tokens)

Thanks, I moved Lotus Cobra out and didn't notice I forgot to change the lands lol. My bad.

Wow dude...I just got hit with 10,000 lbs of "Humble"

You just now reminded me that Sol Sim is a freakin golem...and that is amazing =]

Yeah Sol Sim is boss, especially in combo with your Lotus Cobra. I had a few Lotus Cobras in here but I decided to standardize it. Sometimes I hate standard =S I'm glad I could help, it'll probably be the only time ;-)

I decided to revert to nonstandard. I don't play in any tourneys right now anyway, why bother. Do you have any advice for how I could make this deck a bit better?

Here's a new version of the same deck with some other things thrown in.

I personally wouldn't run the Blightsteel. It's way too inconsistent. I can see what your trying to do with the Shape Anew, but for that to work you need to base your deck around it (ive seen it done and it works really well, just splicers and Blightsteel and 4 Shape Anew lol). It looks like your deck wants to get the Blightsteel out the most since that is the biggest threat. I would try running the Blightsteel as your only artifact with 4 Shape Anew, the deck will meld together very well in that case. Overall I like the idea, good work!

The Blightsteel wasn't the focus. I just figured using 2 of the 60 cards in away that makes winning not so linear was a good idea. If I never play Blightsteel than the deck should run fine, but if I happen to shape anew into him, gg. I don't know. Just seemed like an interesting idea
