Dimir Aqueduct works well with Hedron Crab. If you can get one on the board and another one in your hand, you just bounce em back and forth. You get two crabs on the board and you're opponent won't like it.

It wasn't standard when I posted the comment

Awesome deck! Wish it was legal in standard...

Tried trepanation blade in my agro/mill decks and it's a bit slow. The few times it worked, I had an invisible stalker on the board.

I know, I already found my countermeasures. I carry grudges for a long time I guess :) But mostly what bugs me the most about Gaea's blessings is that you don't have to draw it, it just has to be in your library. That is what really seems unfair to me.

That's true but burn decks are still competitive and can win tournaments because there are no single card that can destroy the type like Gaea's blessing. I think that is what really bugs me about those cards

Cards like Gaea's blessing are a mistake anyway. Destroying a whole deck type by simply having a card in a library is really dumb. I dream of the day I'll be able to put a card that says something like "If your life would reach 0 or below, you may reveal Agro type killer from your library and gain 20 life. This life gain can't be prevented by any effects. You may then shove Agro type killer in your opponent's face and tell him no way man! you can't build aggro decks cause I can put a card in my deck and don't need to draw it to counter your last 8 turns of successfully burning down my face!"

I play essence harvest with consuming aberration for quick mid game finish. Won me many games!

Mono black aggro zombies are really effective. I use Sheperd of Rot's ability with diregraf ghoul, gravecrawler and geralf's messenger on the board for massive amount of damage early. then I use unearth on my geralf's messengers provided they're still in the graveyard. If you run in some trouble and need to buy time, Tendrils of corruption on turn 4 or 5 will take care of many annoying creature and allow you to gain a consderable amount of life at the same time. Sheoldred the whispering one and mikaeus the unhallowed in the late stages to keep control of the board and prepare for the kill.

I run 2 in warchief my zombie deck and I confirm that shepherd of rot is a good card for a zombie tribal. I also run 4 geralf's messenger which is in my humble opinion the best mono black zombie. Unearth is geralf's messenger best friend

If you want to swarm in multiplayer, you gotta drop mono black and go blue black with Undead Alchemist alongside Hedron Crab (I know he's not a zombie but I tell ya he gets the job done!) and good mill spells like mind grind. You gotta find a way to protect alchemist though cause you'll see he gets a lot of attention from your opponents! (Redirect was one of my favorite tricks, protects alchemist and takes care of their best creature from the likes of path to exile, go for the throat, dismember etc etc...) Equip him with trepanation blade for maximum fun!

Nice! Can you post the link, I'd love to check these decks out (the fact that they didn't include mind funeral is pretty surprising to me! It's such an efficient milling card I don't see how one can do without it in a modern mill deck)

Oh... one last thing, try mind grind in multiplayer with an undead alchemist on the board... so much fun!

I like to add dimir infiltrator to my mill decks for its versatility. If I need adecent blocker (1/3) I can cast him for 2 mana or transmute him to get out mindcrank or guildmage when they're the missing piece!

Endless ranks of the deadand, Wight of precinct six and killing wave will give you good results with blood artist. You can easily trade off a couple of life after using killing wave to keep blood artist in play. Also, since M14 has been released, good things happened when I started using darksteel ingot and phylactery lich. Don't overlook unbreathing horde, pretty useful even without fueling some thirsty vampires! Maalfedl twins can be a b***h even at 6cmc with some good sac outlet. That's about all I can think of to give you some ideas.

I think Gempalm's polluter's cycling ability in this zombie tribal would be nice! You just need to find a way to generate zombie tokens but I'm not sure that block can. Midnight Ritual in tenth edition does that but at the drawback of exiling creatures from your own graveyard.
