I totally agree with that. Maybe some burn might give me more flexibility. What's your opinion on brimstone valley, since it's a 3mana for 5dmg if a creature dies that turn. And I'm seeing a lot of morbid effect on board.

I definitely would never see that coming! Accumulating tokens then, BAM! Illness in the ranks, all 20 tokens killed and the opponent is instantly dead when they thought they had the advantage! What this deck needs is some populate to get tokens faster and that one knight that gives two soldiers whenever it attacks... The name escapes me. And you might want to rethink your land. Isolated chapel only comes into play untapped if you control a plains or swamp. You've only got 1 of each so the chances of getting the most out of it are extremely limited. Get rid of all those stupid cards making you pay 2 life to have it enter untapped, they are useless here. Get more basic land instead.

Haha thanks, that's exactly what I'm going for. And I'm really used to playing with shocks and duals, in a midrange / life gainingish deck. I could have them come in tap sometimes and give me options to pay life other times. Gives more flexibility than just running basics. I'm just used to playing with them so I don't see a problem with them. However I will take your comment into consideration tho, because 12 shock lands might be too much. Maybe lower it a little to give myself more early mana.

I have never seen someone argue AGAINST dual lands....Ignore that comment. Your mana base is just fine, and those "stupid cards that make you pay two life" also count as swamps, plains, and mountains in your case, making the other duals come in untapped. Definitely not "useless here," as you are running three colors and mana could easily become a problem. also, your deck is standard, that knight he brought up is not. Hero of Bladehold. Precinct Captain might work in place of her, but hes not as good.

Overall a good deck, I am actually going to build a version of this and run it this weekend. thanks for the inspiration.

im all for duel lands, just not the new ravnica ones. I'm not a fan of paying life in anyway unless i can make it up somewhere else. The original ravnica lands were great. Dual mana and you can bounce one to your hand, nice with landfall. In addition I love isolated chapel, but you get the most out of it with 4 or more basic lands.

The Deck is too slow. Your best situation is that one turn four... FOUR... your artists are doing six damage and by turn five you've cast the enchantment. That's if your opponet is not running direct damage or mass removal (which everyone is). Long story short you're mana curve is off and you have no early game defenses (besides three slips which are awesome) If you use your turn three tokens as chump blockers (which won't work if your casting one of the four copies of illness on turn one or two) your gaining two life instead of making big plays. Finally, you don't have a way to get back your artist if they get milled/killed (. This deck would be an awesome concept for a legacy deck which could dump, reanimate, and repeat the process for a one turn kill. I'm sorry if I sound harsh... i really do like the concept. You just need to trim the fat off this deck for more board control, so that you live until turn six.
