This deck is originally created in Peasant format.
It's restricted to have max. 1 rare and 4 uncommon cards,
or you can exclude the rare and have 5 uncommon cards instead.
Other rules are the same as in Standard format.
The main purpose of this deck is to have fun,
and it's relatively cheap to build from zero.
Advanced player can just put together their leftover to build this deck.
---------------------------------------------------
The aim is to get maximum 2HKO with poison counter.
When the opponent is defenseless due to bad hands or mana screwed,
a certain combo can kill a fresh opponent in one hit.

Deck discussion for Peasant Deck - Infect '64

To revert back into Pheasant Deck, just exclude all the Dark Tutelage, which will slow the combo down; and compensate with the removal spells from the sideboard.

I like this pheasant format, but what exactly does the name have to do with the bird? I know magic players sometimes come up with random names for decks that have nothing to do with them, like solidarity and rabid wombat. Is it one of those things?

It's pheasant as in the working man who says, "Yes, m'lord?" in Warcraft game, I guess.
Which explain the deck was made for budget gamer or people who were bored playing the same deck over and over again, but reluctant to create a new Standard deck which, y'know, expensive.
