Deck Description

Hoping that this will seriously compete at local FNM and do well. I need help deciding between Xenograft and Swiftfoot boots to protect lord of the unreal. I just play tested this deck a few times. Ran extremely well. Mana was no problem thanks to Grand Architect. Decided to change swiftfoot boots to Xenograft mainboard. And added Treasure mages instead of ponders to get steel hellkite or wurmcoil.

What wesla said, I think you meant to get treasury mage.

You are totally correct. Total Fail. Was supposed to be treasure mage. Its very helpful. Often times I can cast treasure mage, fetch wurmcoil or hellkite to my hand, and cast it that same turn! Grand Architect allows me to tap the treasure mage I just cast for 2 mana. So amazing. I love how this deck runs.

Still unsure between swiftfoot boots and Xenograft. Suggestions?

Dropped them both. Seemed to be dead cards quite often. Added some adaptive automatons and a phyrexian metamorph.

Great deck it works really well with each other, everything has a purpose in this deck. I was wondering is Spell Peirce rolled out or can you use it in tournaments?

Spell Peirce is still tournament legal until the release of Innistrad, but I would drop the hellkites for more metamorphs. With metamorphs you can copy target artifact or creature. Also would drop the 2 frost breaths and put in 2 more snags. They may be tapped for 2 turns but having them recast it benefits you. Treasure Mage is a nice touch but you run into the same issue and that is drawing it. I may try it with the Treasure Mage's in there this weekend.

here is my illusion deck.
