Zombie Infestation FTW!!!!

Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

This is just a fun deck. Keeping it standard. Goal is to have zombie infestation out and use treasure hunt. Discard all the lands to zombie infestation and swing for game. Goodluck and have fun!
Also suggestions for more lands that turn into creatures. When this deck becomes un-standard I will be adding a large variety of more cards.

Deck discussion for Zombie Infestation FTW!!!!

Only playing 2 Diabolic Tutors for now. Considering increasing to 4. I just want to make sure I get enough cards in treasure hunt.

If i pull diabolical w treasure hunt then I use that for another treasure hunt. Gonna keep 2 for now though thanks.

diabolic tutor is also 4 mana, which you wont want to have on the ground, as it will be better to be turned into a zombie quickly asap, tutors are slowing you down imo

Also, youre running for infestations, which means youll probably pull on of those instead of a treasure hunt, which you also nee to worry about

Yea, After testing the tutors dont do a damn. I'm taking them out.

We were laughing about this same thing at Game Day. A preordain would keep allow you to hit at least one zombie, and because it hits the bottom you can go deeper. Ponder goes deeper, but the drop to the bottom is way better than a randomization.

I have no clue what you're trying to say. But preordain and ponder will slow me down because im trying to treasure hunt unless u mean as a replacement for tutor.

How did it do? I can't wait to playtest this more than just hand draws. I just dont know if i cant kill fast enough unless i start w treasure hunt + zombie infestation unless i start w it or draw it quickly.

Oh! I'll add halimar depths! that will be perfect. Get some scrying basically and I dont have to worry about it slowing down treasure hunt.

It dies to day of judgment and u want something to lure out counter spells since most run seven and you need two pieces to combo but as a fun deck it's fun also if u splashed red u could run the new Chandra for her copy ability so treasure hunt twice also could throw in Sorens vengeance with Chandra ciopy spell so do it for 20 damage As a second win condition

The adding of red also gives u more man lands

I really don't want to add more cards to the deck. Yes i do see where you are coming from about chandra and sorins vengease but meh. I don't know. Just doesn't seem worth it. I do know red has great man lands though. I do happen to have an extra chandra... but not worth it. Thanks for suggestions tho.

one aether flash and you've lost the game.. also you mill your own deck.. add unlimited hand size, and graveyard library shuffle and you will have a very nice deck..

I'm running something really similar (without the nonbasic lands). Consider throwing one single eldrazi into the deck to avoid milling yourself.

I'm honestly not scared about milling myself. As long as there is another nonland permanant when i treasure hunt then im fine. And this deck is either going to go off or it isn't there is no in between. Either I win by turn 5 or its game basically.

Hi agnorak262,

Happy to see that the Treasure Hunt deck type I orginated is inspiring others to new variations.

I also just want to say that this deck idea as far as I know originally was first talked about by Archiphres

See his comment on my
Stupid Deck of the Day
Deck link: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=219628

I also I made a very similiar deck to this and posted it a week ago and got no comments so I deleted it.

Glad to see that it is getting some recognition now.

Very funny deck. I wish there were some way to add in Call to the Grave for even more lols, but I think that might ruin the synergy. Never seen a deck built like this before, does it play well in the actual game or is it just something fun to look at on paper? I'd love any input for my goblin deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=229571

When Worldwake goes out of standard You should put in reliquary tower so that you can play treasure hunt a couple turns earlier if you don't start out with a zombie infestation in hand. Also you could sideboard mana leak's and spell pierce's for decks that run day of judgement. And Death Baron's for decks that run pyroclasm.

This deck is amazing. Simple and yet complex all in one turn to make you win with relative ease, only problem is discarding against a deck oh say like mine ( http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=208886 ) where you take two damage for every card you discard, or more, depending on how many caress i have out on the field. Otherwise, i like this basic and yet cool deck. nice job

Swing for massive damage turn 4. I can make them all turn 3.

I would probably throw in one elixir of immortality just so you can keep going.

I actually lost to this deck twice. This is so fast once Zombie Infestation is out.

You also might want to add Emrakul, Ulamog, or Kozilek, so that when you discard them you can shuffle your graveyard to the library.

hmmm, didn't think about that. I thought it was to prevent mill, but it would allow me to reshuffle treasure hunts. might mess up though because i want to treasure hunt a treasure hunt not an eldrazi.

When this drops from standard, add Soldevi Excavations. When it's released, Snapcaster Mage would be a fine addition as well. He provides a chump blocker and is you Treasure Hunt into him, you can always cast him and flash back Treasure Hunt.

Hi if you want another way to use lands you have in play with a black deck you could possibly try hecatomb . . Old school card ha ! You could use sengir autocrat to get them out. Not sure if it would work but perhaps an idea,
You seem to build very good decks so if you find time to comment on any of mine to held me improve them I would really appreciate it. Especially one called sheoldred verses haste as I'm thinkin of buyin all the cards.. Thanks

I would highly suggest finding a spot for maybe 2 elixers of imortality. That way you have an out for late game if you get DoJ.

It would also be funny to run vensers journel in this so that if you treasure hunt and you dont have to discard the cards for nothing if you dont have a infestation on the feild.

When it leaves standard I will just add reliquary tower. I have played this deck nearly 30 times and have never milled myself. I'm honestly not worried about it. Try testing it. The game is always over by the time you hit your last treasure hunt / zombie infestation.
