Deck Description

I saw the boros version of soldiers going around now, and I've begun thinking of things to do post-rotation. There are a TON of soldiers in standard right now, so it leads me to believe that this list can only continue to improve with the inception of khans of tarkir.

How to Play

This deck is pretty straight-forward. Some of the highlights are preeminent captain being able to send a Brimaz out swinging for free. Elspeth brings you lots of extra guys to play with, and the nykthos can help you ramp to here rather quickly. She is the extra bit of muscle needed to finish the game at times.

Deck discussion for Post-Rotation Mono-W Soldiers

I made a similar deck, Ajani Steadfast would look great in this deck too

I feel like there are other things I would want to do with four mana than playing that version of Ajani. I liked your point about Heliod keeping your creatures untapped for a convoke cost on main phase 2, though. That's something I had not thought of. I'm going to toy around with that, and see what happens. Thanks for sharing! :)
