Deck Description

Klopolopolis didn't know what that glob of mutant flesh was doing over on the side. It called itself a "nephilim" or some other gobble-de-gook... kids these days and their slang. Well, he certainly wasn't doing much. He never swung. He simply stood there and waited. Of course, it would help if he swung. There were about five vampires over there and Klopolopolis' poet was dead. Perhaps the "nephilim" could write down Klopolopolis' exploits. As he charged against the hordes, Klopolopois suddenly felt something. Not only could those fell creatures not harm him, but he was feeling all the more powerful. Everyone was! Interesting... all after that nephilim came onto the field...

*************************

Basically, the goal is to pump the heroes until Ink-Treader Nephilim gets on the field. This will allow heroics to all be triggered simultaneously. The preference for protection, hexproof, and the like allows the creatures to stay on the field longer and fight harder. Sigil Blessing or Soul's Fire for a finisher. Debt of Loyalty to regenerate all creatures and take over opponent creatures. Fun times.

Deck discussion for Everyone's a Hero...

this is an excellent interaction. Well done! I would suggest mana dorks and anax and cymede, maybe instead of the artisan and the athlete

The Artisan of Forms if to copy Ink-Treader (to get an even stronger effect) or at the very least a decent creature on the opposing side. As for Arena Athlete, I kind of just threw him in there. Why would Anax and Cymede be better?

Hmmm... with artisan of forms... if you target it, doesn't heroic go on the stack, it becomes ink treader, but by then it's too late because the target has past? I think when you target something, any triggers occur because of the action of targeting, physically saying, "I target artisan", and so by the time it's a copy of ink treader the time has past for the effect. But i mean you could literally play clone or something.

As for Anax and Cymede: because it's a heroic trigger that's bomby as hell...? I just figure with the gigantic things you should be making due to all these counters, you may want trample. plus he is just disgustingly powerful.

Yeah, I just really didn't feel like looking up Anax and Cymede. I couldn't remember what they did off the top of my head. And for Artisan of Forms, I don't really care if it takes one turn to make another Ink-Eye, though I suppose maybe the slot would be better taken by another card.

I have very unfortunate news. I've spent half an hour on forums now understanding the nuances of these two abilities, and copies of spells do not trigger heroic. The mechanic says "cast a spell, and a copy is not cast." Therefore your Nephilim does not trigger all your heroic abilities. I am truly very sorry to hear this.

Ah, gee. Well, I figured something would have to go wrong eventually. Thanks for letting me know at least.

I still think the deck is viable though, as all it is is spell triggers and spells. Maybe you don't have the giant combo you thought originally, but if you don't have a nephilim you can just play a heroic tribal, and if you do have a nephilim you can do lots of global effects.
