Deck Description

This is my version of my brother's turbo-fog deck for standard. I've tried keeping it fairly budget, and in addition to the maze's end win con, I've added one jace to mill them out with (I've done this before, it's not as lame as it sounds) just in case I have to deal with a long-term pithing needle or anything else out of the blue.

How to Play

You want to have at least 2-3 gates in your opener, depending on the rest of your hand. From then on, you just need to grind until you set up one of the win cons. But how you get there gets tricky sometimes.
First off, cast your higher cmc fog cards first, because later you may only have one mana open to cast an actual Fog when you need it most.
Second, try to save up your Silences for when you might need them. For example, if your opponent is doing creature aggro, and not casting much else, it's probably better to hold them for later when removal seems imminent or very early to stall their plan.
Third, pithing needle will most likely end up sideboarded in A LOT. When it gets down to it, only a few things scare me when they pop out: non-combat helping planeswalkers, like ashiok, and mill. Pithing needle stops 1 and a 1/2 of those problems. Of course, counter spells are always a problem, too, so you might want to try a variation of it that includes more counter spells.
Fourth, NEVER let an ashiok or nightveil streak from you. Losing both copies of a gate to being exiled forces you into your other win cons, one of which (jace) can also be easily stolen, too.

Deck discussion for Guild Grinder(Bant Budget Mix)

You're right that the new Ajani would fit in well here. Once you remove 4 of the 8 Druid's Deliverance, you'll have room for him, too! ;)

Oh, I didn't notice! Thanks though. I'd maybe also think about playing something else that mills sideboard, like consuming aberration. Every time I would fog, their deck gets razed for a land, so each one becomes worth more.
