Burn, Control, Immortal. Early play in the deck focuses on aggressive early Red spell attacks whilst being able to go toe-to-toe with any early threats that might floor other decks. Blue spells are mainly for control and utility but the 'Red' spell Reverberate works offensively as well as defensively (in conjuction with both Red and Blue spells). Also most of the spells are low cost and play an important part throughout play. End game play for this deck consists of massing and multiplying (through Revereberate) sources of overwhelming firepower (Lava Axe and Fireball) to finish the opponent. Under the right conditions it's possible to kill your opponent with two spells, in this case Lava Axe and Reverberate (with the Fire Servant in play). Chandra's Spitfire provides extra damage and works well with the Red offensive spells in this deck whilst Elixir of Immortality is the crowning jewel; it provides life and makes the deck (almost) immortal with the only significant threat coming from decks that force you to discard. With Reverberate however you should have no problem following the old adage 'an eye for an eye'! Whilst not strictly a true burn deck this one makes an attempt at being an unstoppable force and an immovable object all at the same time. As an extra bonus Elixir of Immortality is handy against Black decks that focus on or make use of stealing creatures from your graveyard!
