Ok... this may smash my face a bit... But don't underestimate Cloudfin Raptor... he's good at being chumpy...

Consistent deck tried against naya humans rdw and its variants zombie decks grixis dimir esper american flash etc. Cheap and effective aggro deck!

You say: 3rd turn attack all cast gruul charm opponent down to 8 life, but you don't run any gruul charms

I took out gruul charm it is not that effective but still consistent with 4th and 5th turn kills

Nice for commenting in my deck man! Nice deck you got here, really like aggressive ones.
How does your deck work against control decks?

I would like you to see my other standard deck (that I like the most, a Boros one):

Why do you have so many flash cards in your sideboard?

Those are for players who uses blind obedience in their decks. Its like casting my creatures at the end of his turn so blind obedience becomes useless

amazing. u commented on my r/g splash deck and asked me to check this out. i never thought about a bte lightning mauler combo. thats ridiculous.

do u ever think domri would slow u down? i might be tempted to replace both domris with 2 thundermaw hellkites.

You have commented on my "Domri Jundmaster" deck... ...you have said, that it's too slow against this, but with me playing Searing Spear, Pillar of Flame & Lotleth Troll, you won't be able to have things your way in a game... :) ...& I definiately would sideboard Bonfire against this...

This is well constructed, but not as competative as you claim it to be... ...well constructed control decks will definiately finish this off 2-0 at FNM...

The deck is truely fast, but it's lacking reselliancy after wipes... ...also... ...a deck with many fast burn spells could easily slow down the pase for you... ...other aggro decks with a fast set of removal has the adventage here...

Already tested with br zombies rdw boros bw zombies etc and still consistently winning. I'm just telling the facts here and I have beaten recently a deck like yours and its really slow. Even a heavy creature removal deck like grixis did not even stopped my deck.Maybe I'm just lucky or my deck is really tough to beat and that's a fact. Board wipes is not a problem for me as I'm not the kind of player who just brings down all creatures cards in hand. Hey I'm playing magic since ice age alliance the dark etc. I know my stuff poetic boy lol

Well so since there is a lot of polemic around this deck and if it is true what anbu187 states that this version of stomping ground could beat most of the popular decks available right now curious about that I did the following:

I have duplicates in a software(cockatrice) of most of the popular decks of standard and play tested this deck against them. I have to say I'm amazed since it performs amazingly well and I believe I can pinpoint the factors of why it does:

Haste: we know it was what killed the control decks and their sorcery speed destruction back when b/r midrange and rdw started to use it in december and this deck has a lot of that.
Resiliency: contrary to what my friend PoetMaster-X stated above there is indeed some creature destruction resistance in this deck in hands of Experiment One and Strangleroot Geist.
2 Drop combo: Burning-Tree Emissary + Lightning Mauler is insane.
Mid-range: instead of just early play with many efficient 1 or 2 drops like most stomping ground deck goes(Rakdos Cackler, Stromkirk Noble, Ash Zealot, etc.) it has bombs that can easily outclass those weenies like the thundermaw or the rampager.

Kudos for this deck I really like it.

My feedback will be that you add naturalize to the SB to fight blind obedience since is a tool control can use against this deck, also you have to work in the mana base since I had a couple of matches I was missing lands or missing a specific color (you are after all running creatures that need double red or double green) my suggestion is that you add 1 more land and don't be afraid to add some gruul guildgates.

Mana is fine already with me stable at 22 lands. Since i created this deck on gatecrash pre release I have been a consistent top finisher and this deck beats the hell out of saito decks out there! Experiment one even survives the blasphemous act + boros reckoner combo lol. I really like my deck and sharing this with you guys. Don't forget to mulligan to get that god draw! Works for me most of the time!

Well thundermaw does not shows up frequently and is less used so I have to remove it and replace with more one drop creatures.

try Markov Blademaster. Together with Ghor-Clan Rampager - sick combo

1

Markov is not a solid creature for me. I'd rather use erdwal ripper

0

you'd take haste over dbl strike? bloodrushed by rampager blademaster swings for 5 trample 1st strike then 6 trample 2nd strike (he gets a counter between strikes) - total 11 dmg trample. game finisher in certain situations. ripper is nowhere near that.

Why garruk relentless instead of domri? Simply because garruk is better and can produce deathtouch tokens to stop boros reckoner and can fetch creature you want.

i like it, seems really tough and hard to take it down. though i would like to see u place on a ptq or something and shut the nay sayers up once and for all. personally if the deck is that good, then try it out at a ptq if possible.

Your deck has no answer to reanimator decks that can pull out a turn 3, Angel of Serenity to wipe your entire field while still being impossible to kill.

1
Posted 29 March 2013 at 01:03

honestly, i have defeated all the reanimators and variants already. unburial rites is cast at turn 4 where my deck kills at this turn as well. my sideboard against them, plain and simple dryad militant lol

Just curious what situations do you swap in rancor? Shouldn't that just already be in your deck rather than on your sideboard?
