Deck Description

Combo is Servant of the Conduit & Greenbelt Rampager with paradox engine out.
Plays out when player has 1 energy counter (Important that it's only one)

1.) servant of conduit taps & pays 1 energy to make 1 green mana
2.) 1 green mana used to cast Greenbelt Rampager
3.) Get one energy from Greenbelt ETB effect (no extra energy to pay sends it back to hand. )
4.) Paradox Engine untaps Servant of the Conduit.
5.) Back to step one

Currently the deck relies on Aetherflux reservoir to gain life off each cast of Greenbelt ravager (better to play this deck online than paper since life gain is exponentialy rising for each cast.

Life total progression: 1, 3, 6, 10, 15, 21, 28, 36, 45, 55, and so on.

The equation for 1 Reservoir in play is: N(N+1)/2 life.
Thus generally it's rarely needed to cast Greenbelt more than 8 or 9 times.
Obviously this gets even more crazy with more than one reservoir.

Alternatively (and probably easier to do is casting the rampager 19 times and finaly tapping Servant of Conduit for red and/or chucking Simian to cast a grapeshot for 20 (Requires one generic mana to be open.)

Thought seize/Inquisition to stop disruption and dismember takes care of threats. Heroic intervention protects our pieces in the event of Targeted removal or board wipes. Runs simians & chalice to help pay for early Paradox Engine, the heaviest piece of the combo.

The combo will not work with 2+ energy as greenbelt's ability is not "may". Because of this aether hubs and servants should sink extra energy greater than 1 before attempting combo.

Deck discussion for Greenbelt Storm (Modern)

Looking for help sideboarding this deck. Also a few Q's

Is aetherflux Reservoir necessary? I like the incidental lifegain leading up to the combo and the ability to freely cast dismembers w/o fear. Is storming out and grapeshot the preferred line here?

Any other cards I may be missing?

What's a good way to reliably get Paradox engine out?

Fast enough for modern? I'm new to the modern scene.

T4 wins on as little as 2 lands now possible but still rare and inconsistant
