Deck Description

Midrange golgari dredge and unearth deck. The goal is to turn your library into your graveyard because the creatures like it that way. The deck is equipped with the means to start getting your creatures there T1.

How to Play

There are multiple ways to play the deck but generally starting with Raven's Crime on yourself and tossing Vengevine, Extractor Demon or Sedraxis Specter is a good way to start getting the big guns in the yard. You can toss Stinkweed or Life from the Loam to start dredging too, like I said, choices. Grisly Salvage allows for huge card advantage here.

Lotleth Troll can discard one or all your creatures to pump up and can be a win condition for this deck. It begs the attention of the opponent, especially in this deck. Gravecrawler loves him because of the zombie synergy and if you can cast two Crawlers from the grave, all Vengevine come back. Pretty cool.

Replaced Zombie Infestation for Fauna Shaman; getting it on the field also helps toss a big hitter in the yard while getting another creature that you need in to your hand, for example, toss Vengevine for an extra 1 drop like slitherhead, cast it along with another 1 drop and get Vengvine(s).

The unearth ability of the Demon and Specter are so cheap; they're the burn spells of your deck. I seriously advise unearthing them versus hard casting.

Bloodghast is basically free in this deck. Verdant Catacombs helps with Landfall in order to keep rhythm. Mutavault has all creature types which is another outlet for the Crawlers.

Deck discussion for Dredgeyard

Not bad, however i see it being really hard to get the vengevines out unless you got two gravecrawlers in the yard and a lol troll on the field. Of course once that happens it just goes off. How does it generally work out?

True, Vengevines reoccurred a lot more when I had more 1 drops. I've only started play testing it now that I've made some changes but generally the Crawlers are the easiest way to get Vengevine for free. Either one from my hand and the next from the yard because of his twin now on the field haha. The best course of action is if it's tossed to the troll and dug back up, (or both tossed to Zombie Infestation for a free Zombie) but there's Mutavault as well for 1 cmc and he's every creature.

I'm open to any ideas that can better the deck as a whole if Vengevine needs to be swapped.

hmmm well a good one would be fauna shaman, she can chain tutor some of your creatures. She could easily replace zombie infestation, maybe even maindeck 4 of them. Also just some 2 or lower cost zombie to make it easier to cast grave crawler. maybe putrid leech for aggro or blood scrivner for card draw. Lastly the blood ghasts seem a bit redundant with all this and the demon seems very undederwhelming. However i can see why they are in there. A suggestion for bloodghast is combo with perilous forays for all the mana you want, but thats a late game combo and not what your going for. Also this deck could really use some sort of sac engine maybe bloodthrone vampire? (probably not the best for your deck, but its a personal favorite) so that you have a creature that if not blocked can swing for 13 damage all at once or something.

Nice idea with Fauna Shaman. I'll also look into a sac outlet and consider some zombies.
