Deck discussion for Basic Elf Deck

Of course the deck isn't very reliable. You only have 1 copy of most of your cards and you have 15 cards over the limit of 60. My immediate suggestion would be to do as follows:
Remove 5 forests. Your elves can all generate enough mana on their own. You don't need so many lands to cover this.
Remove cards that give you "one mana of any color". You only need green mana, so cards that give you one mana of any color won't assist you as much. This includes fertile ground, wirewood channeler, and birchlore elves.
Remove both of your artifacts, they are out of place.
Replace Wear Away with Naturalize.
Next I would suggest removing Woodcloaker, Simic Guildmage, Pendelhaven Elder, Totem Speaker, and Wirewood Hivemaster. Woodcloaker is too expensive, you can only use half of Simic Guildmage, you don't have too many 1/1s for Pendelhaven Elder to take advantage of, you have no beasts so Totem Speaker is useless, and you don't have anything that can become stronger with those 1/1 insect tokens that Wirewood Hivemaster creates.

If you do all of this you are back down to 60 cards. Already your deck should be improving. Now, if you're looking for cards to make your deck better, I would suggest getting more serpent skins, blanchwood armors, and two more stonewood invoker. I'm not sure about any cards besides these you should add, but this should help. Good Luck.

I have a question, do you ever win with this deck? Well, try removing soem creatures and adding more copies of creature you REALY need. First chose what you want your deck to do and how you want it to win. There are a couple of way to win with an elf deck. My friends elf deck wins with banefire. It has prominade to put tokens and heritage druid to tap creatures and get mana. It is also type 2 deck. If you don't like this, another way is with wirewood pride and timberwatch elf. But this is not a deck, it's a collection of elf creature cards. And you don't need none of these spells nore the artifacts. Try adding tribal spells etc. etc. But this is my point of view. You play the game as you wish!

Thanks for the advice! I'm really just starting out so all of this was very helpful. My bad on the sixty cards, I thought decks had to be "at least" sixty cards. Ill trash most of those cards you suggested, but as for multiples, the reason I have what I have is because I don't have any other elf cards, I'm just sort of starting out with some old cards. Your advice is much appreciated. I designed the deck really just to get as many creatures as I can out at one time, and fast. I had the elvish champion, timberwatch elf, tribal forcemage, and all the stat increasing instants and sorcery's to do as much damage as I could in one attack with a ton of elves. Good point on the Totem speaker =p. Also would it be worth it to keep the hivemasters to work with pendelhaven elder? thats kind of what I was getting at, because if I get a hivemaster out early I can get tons of 1/1 insects. Any other advice? keep criticizing it is really helpful, thanks again =]

Your deck indeed has to be consisted of at least 60 cards. You can have 250 cards if u like but u wont get the cards u want/need in time. That's why most players keep the deck as low as possible in number (that would be 60 cards). And i would suggest droping the lands down to 18 or 16. After all you only need one land if you have heritage druid in play and play a couple of llanowar elves in the early turns. I strongly suggest putting elvish promenade in the deck. Good luck!!

get more wellwishers. Once you have four or five elves in play, a wellwisher is a serious pain in the ass for someone who's trying to kill you. besides that, as long as you have a few elves that produce mana, you can use whatever elves you like. But I tend to agree, less variety and more copies of a card is how you'll achieve consistency

Thanks for the tips guys, I dropped it down to sixty and it already looks better, because Im lacking some cards though im needing to keep more lands in it (for now) ill try to trade for some of your suggested cards. what are the most important elves I have in here? in other words, what should I look for copies of?

Yes, it is very much suggested that you keep a deck as low as possible. There are some decks that can get away with being 75 cards. For instance, I made a life-gain deck. I let that deck by 75 cards because I wanted to simply outlast my opponent and because I didn't need one specific card to pull the deck off. As a general rule, however, keep your deck as close to 60 cards as possible.
Its not worth keeping Pendleheaven Elder for your Hivemind guys. If you had a 60 card deck with them, you would only have a 1 in 60 chance of drawing the Elder, and then a 1 in 30 chance of drawing the hivemind. Not only that, but this combo is easily countered (just kill the hiveminds or the elder).
I'm not the greatest at elf decks, but I would suggest getting copies of Elvish Champion, Frydhorn Elder, Wellwisher, and Elvish Pioneer. As I said before, also look for copies of Branchwood Armor and Serpant Skin.
Remember that you can buy cards you want off of mtgvault.
Good Luck.

if you can get an ambush commander, do it. those things in elf decks just demolish. that with a timberwatch elf and theres nothing anyone can do about it, which brings me to my second suggestion... get some timberwatch elves. also theres that new elf thats like it but deals in counters instead of until end of turn. all of that is in my elf deck if you want to take a look.

less of a variety and less lands, also the artifacts just seem out of place an arcbound in a elf deck? and nuisance engine seem kinda useless in this deck or at least not helpfull in any way... but ya neither artifact 18-20 lands and get more playsets
