Deck Description

With some experience, wisdom, and maybe just a better head on my shoulders, I'm going to look at the deck on top of my list again, see if there's absolutely nothing to be taken out, shortened, trimmed up. I am considering the possibility of rebuilding this from the ashes of theft, like a blue/black phoenix of awesome and... Yeah.
Deck acquisition has begun. Ebay/Card Kingdom, prepare yourselves.

Side note - Kill condition is as follows: Liliana's Caress/Megrim does the actual work, Bells, Mines, Jace, and Liliana trigger my opponents (plural) discard requirement.

Deck discussion for Jace/Liliana Synergy part 2

well to start off, you only really need a single elixir of immortality (maybe run 2) to make sure you can cycle your spells. I would swap out all but 1 Spellbook, and all of the temeple bells. No point giving your opponents cards too. Just run some regular blue draw cards (Brainstorm, See Beyond, Ponder, Divination). Those will actually give you card advantage. It will also trim your deck down so that you can get cards you want faster.

Guiles/Circus are useless in your deck compared to the Wrexial. put in creatures to defend you until you can take it onto the field. Run 4 Wrexials. Also i happen to own Leyline of anticipation. never useful. by the time i get it ive already basically won. you need a deck to tutor and heavy mana ramp if you want it to have a real effect. if you want more control in the earlyish and up to late, try running a Fatespinner.

Dont bother with the tidehollow. It can easily be killed with a cheap 1/1 flyer. Try running something like Wall of Frost or Guard Gomazoa to defend while you get your win condition out. Run a few Whispersilk cloaks as well.

You should try to cut your deck to 60 cards. dont run 4 of everything and keep more cards to defend in the early turns (1-3) since you wont be able to keep up counters against decks that are weenie or green. Get a cheap creature like Steel Wall to hold the first 4ish turns.

you have 26 lands, so 6 can go along with the other 24 cards you can take out.

also you have no definitive win condition, is it death by discard or by combat damage or by mill or what?

Liliana's Caress, Megrim, Liliana's +1, Jace's +2, Howling Mines, Temple Bells..... Hmm. Let's take a look. The 2 enchantments deal damage/loss of life when opponents have to discard, right? Mmk. And Liliana herself can force a discard, right? Also, what's max hand size for most people? 7. Jace, Mines, and Bells all serve to keep their hand full and discarding 2-3 cards per turn, taking (we'll assume 2 of the enchants for giggles) 8-12 damage per turn. This is a multiplayer, casual deck. I will agree that Circu doesn't serve a huge purpose here, but damn he's fun, and he will prevent them from playing a few spells here and there. I can swap the spellbooks for Reliquary Tower or something, but it still boils down to the same thing. I suppose Leylines are required, they're just fun is all. I like Tidehollow, he's an excellent blocker is what he's there for. I'll look at other irritating options for blockers. Fog Bank is amusing, etc.
