Deck discussion for Mono Black Control (Standard)

Here's a monoblack control deck my friend has been working on for M13, you should check it out. You might get ideas and he would love criticisms too.

Personally, I'm not a fan of geth's verdict since they can choose the creature they sac, I would sideboard it agaisnt players using hexproof creatures. I would use 2 more dismembers since it's one of the strongest removal cards out for now.

Geth's is in there just to have as wide of a variety main-deck removal as possible, but I do agree that it suffers greatly in certain matchups. I will see how the deck plays with main-deck Geth's over the next week or so, but I could definitely see it moving to sideboard afterward.

Blood Artist with all the sacraficing and killing, may make a good edition.

Blood Artist could be good in certain matchups, but without any kind of sac outlet in the deck, he would be near useless vs most control decks.

Also looking at the sideboard, if you're going to run a Sorin's Vengeance, why not run Sorin Markov? He makes Sorin's Vengeance more lethal than it is.

Not a bad idea, I'll try running a Sorin main-deck over a Liliana and see how it goes.
