need help with Myr

im pretty new to magic and i just recently built this deck and im looking for some advise on how to improve it,
silver myr is there just pure because i have a feeling i need more mana boost early game, however i am considering to maybe add some blue counters or something in there

Deck discussion for need help with Myr

What format do u want to play? t2 or t 1.5?

maybe you should try some cranial platings, if you splash some blue you could use thoghtcast.
In case you try the cranial plating you should try some artifact lands like great furnace and seat of the synod.
Maybe ornithopters are a good choice.

No idea or its t1.5 or t2, im still too confused by all those formats :D, i just play online standart and cant use neuither mirrodin nor fifth dawn :(

get rid of the fireball and put in comet storm it is a much better card

also maybe try grafted exoskeleton for the battlespheres since they can do direct damage

Personally, I think the current Myr decks are a bit of a no brainer with a few tweaks outside of the vital cards to suit personal preference.

Check out my deck below for Standard. The usual combos of unlimited mana into fireball, create infinite Myr Galvanizers, Or just stick a splinter twin on a Myr Battlesphere to get truly dirty!!!

Thx, i'll definetlly try that one out, imho huge weakness of my deck is that its only way of winning was to get myr battlesphere out, attack, cycle the tokens from it with forgemaster and get next battlesphere out, but urs seems much more versatile, altho i think i'll keep 2 of reservoir and anvil to make my mana life easier

Yeah. TBH, i'm only running white for the Myrsmith and for the sideboard cards to give me a touch more control/protection if needed, but running mono red has got to be a no brainer to use splinter twin atm. For all there is a lot of big cards and big combos in there, I tend to find that normally, a win will come from good old fashioned basic beats. Haven't tried in Standard tournament environment yet, but played against an extremely heavy control deck of my friends, and seems to hold its own. Best tech in the deck? It's got to be the Crystal Ball!!!

haha yes, crystal ball rocks :D, i also experimented a bit with spalsh of blue and preordain and halimar depths but in the end it was a bit of overkill, i also experimented a bit with black and 3 liliana vess to be able to search any card i want, but the results werent that great either, somehow when i managed to get myr battlespehere out the opponent used rite of replication with a kicker on it, instant loss for me :D (happened more than once)
i think i'll try to adjust ur deck a bit to accomodate liliana vess, i wonder or it wouldnt get color screwed but on the other side its mostly artefacts so should be ok, espessially if i get some nonbasic two colored lands or terramorfic expance in there and maybe some khali gem, experiment experiment experiment :D

Haha. Its all about the tests and the tweaks. Seems a good base to start though. Just about figure my sideboard out now, but want to play a few more games before I confirm it. I'll let you know how I get on..


also... with that many artifacts... Splash white for Tempered Steel? It's brutality!!!

Dude, you should be running the infinite Myr mana combo since you're running Fireball.
All you need is 2 Myr Galvanizers and 1 Palladium Myr.
So you tap Palladium for 2, then you use 1 of that mana to use Galvanizers ability to untap all Myr you control, then tap Palladium Myr again for 2 so you have 3 mana in your mana pool, then you use 1 of that mana to activate your second Galvanizer untapping you other Galvanizer and you Palladium Myr. And Repeat.
It's great with Fireball...obviously.
The combo even works by adding in Myr Propogator...then yopu get infinite Myr tokens!!!!
