This is a Mono White control deck designed for casual play. The synergies between its card choices create early soft locks and very good card advantage, which are described below: 1. Weathered Wayfarer + 4x Strip Mine (fetched by Wayfarer from library) One of the strengths of this deck is its ability to operate solely on two or three lands. Because you won't find yourself playing more than three lands, Wayfarer can fetch Strip Mine turn after turn in the early game. 4x Strip Mine shuts off a lot of casual decks before they can stabilize their mana bases. 2. [Lock #1] + Soldevi Digger (fetched by Enlightened Tutor) / Jotun Grunt In the late game, when you've exhausted your deck of Strip Mines, Soldevi Digger (fetched by Enlightened Tutor) completes a powerful lock that only allows two to three lands to stick on your opponent's board (by replenishing your deck with Strip Mines). Jotun Grunt functions similarly, but its 4/4 body for only two mana allows it to double as your win condition. 3. Land Tax (fetched by Enlightened Tutor) + Scroll Rack (feteched by Enlightened Tutor) This combination of spells, both of which can be fetched by Enlightened Tutor, has been around for a long time. Running only two to three lands actively on the board allows Land Tax to fetch three Plains a turn, which Scroll Rack drops on top of your deck (and which Land Tax shuffles away for a new batch of cards next turn). The engine draws four cards per turn. The rest of the deck is made up of low-cost removal (Swords to Plowshares & Path to Exile), protective or efficient creature spells (Mother of Runes & Serra Avenger), and cards that complement the different deck engines (Tithe).
