The inspiration was wanting a deck to end all mid-range/ control decks.
You play this deck in war of attrition. Control your opponents creatures, cards in hand, life totals, etc. Slowly but surely bringing your enemy to an end. Now, I'm aware the deck is vulnerable to Artifact decks and heavy Spell decks, but it comes with playing the color.
