Wanted to make a deck with populate, so I started by looking for the biggest possible non-legendary token (can't populate Marit Lage from Dark Depths without a Mirror Gallery). Ended up with Titan Forge, and moved on from there.
Drop an early Avacyn Pilgrim. Depending on your draw, you can either shoot for the early 9/9 Golem, or set up with Splicers and reinforced 3/3 Golems. If your opening draw includes Coretapper and Titan Forge, you can drop a turn 2 Coretapper then a turn 3 Titan Forge. Tap and sac the coretapper to get 3 charge counters on the forge and make a 9/9 Golem. Alternatively, with a turn 1 Avacyn Pilgrim, you can drop a turn 2 Blade Splicer and a turn 3 Master Splicer and populate from there.
