Deck discussion for Maze's end, help wanted

dont try to make it standard. you NEED to be able to play multiple lands a turn to make a mazes end deck work. as for extra land playing cards look in green, asuza and oracle of mul-daya are some things to consider, along with rights of flourishing.

I like what you are trying to do with the Maze but I believe your deck is too slow. Does it have color mana problems? i have a Maze deck that wins 60/40 in casual but I have yet to take it to FNM or a serious tournament. . Deck is Gr/Bl/Wh . I use mana defenders and board clearing to keep the opponent in check until I can win with Maze or Door to Nothingness. The Door to Nothingness Kill is faster to pull off. The key cards which you are not playing are Unexpected results - extra gates and back to your hand for the next turn, Axebane Guardian - color I need to cast key spells and Open the Door around turn 7, Gatekeeper Vine - more Gates, and Cloudshift - more gates save a blocker. Hover Barrier and Fog Bank combine with Hold the Gates to provide big back end creatures to stall with forever . Play your deck a few times and see if it is effective or try my stall deck ideas. You can sideboard in Crackling Perimeter (4) if your opponent is not playing lifegain as an alternate kill. - I see you probably considered that option already.

i agree with gatekeeper vine and axebane guardian and maybe a conjuors closet or two for multiple bounce of gatecreeps and if you want to keep saruli i say keep them people hate life gaining elfs ( i miss well-wisher she needs a reprint in a core set with titania's priest and chosen

Several very competitive players I know have been grabbing as many Mazes as they can claiming it'll be a competitive deck post rotation. I'm not sure if I see it but this deck does give some hints. Once some of the stronger aggro and midrange cards leave it'll be stronger I think.
I suggest keep playing with it and refining it. Especially consider area that will still be playable after October and you may be ahead of the game.

if door to nothingness wasnt rotating out next month i say add it, and think about this, there is no cheap land destruction anymore so you do this without worry and the people who say this is too slow, wizards said theyre slowing down the standard meta. you can tell that by the spoilers out for m14.
i say 1 of each gate instaed of 2 for more basic lands to keep up if ya want to change it a little and thespian stages to copy mazes end to get more land search

M13 rotates out when Theros comes in, not when M14 does.

i thought each core set rotates out when the new 1 comes in well if it doesnt then dtn would be good for this and my elf deck will be legal till sept

So did I, but it turns out that M13 goes out when Theros comes in.....
I was surprised too. So, Innistrad is standard for a while anyway. I would recommend Door to Nothingness.

i like into the wilds, and i like that people really try to make this deck work. I would go for 4 copies of gatecreeper vine and urban evolution. urban evolution is really powerful in this deck since it brings you a whole turn closer to winning. you know if you liked the ratchet bombs enough you could throw in a bunch of rapid hybridizations
