Deck Description

Pointy ears ATTACK!! Just a bunch of elves trying to overwhelm the opposition

How to Play

Basically use Elves abilities to support everyone and overpower your foes. Straight forward = creature heavy with tons of elves, a little support from spells, Low mana cost overall so no Ramp needed. As much draw power is there that I could fit. I know its not Glissa friendly on the artifact side but like her as a commander and wanted to make a deck around her like the mono green commander elf decks my friends play. Any additions needed or take outs let me know! Thanks!!!! :)

Deck discussion for Dirty Elves

With that many permanents a Primal Surge could easily put 50 permanents into play.

Lurking Predators would do serious work in a deck with so many dudes.

Steely Resolve set to elves would give all your guys hexproof. Cover of Darkness set to elves would make them pretty hard to block.

Nice Additions. Will make changes now. You have a rolodex for magic cards like no one else my friend. Was possibly thinking of a general switch though would Nath of the Gilt-leaf be better suited? What do you think?

Not sure if my previous message sent. Thanks for the tips. What would you take out to make room for these additions? Also a possible commander switch I was thinking of Nath of the Gilt-Leaf? Yes? No? Or just put him in the deck?
I was thinking of taking out genesis wave, Elvish promenade, Thousand year elixir and outland colossus. Thoughts?

I clearly love Glissa http://www.mtgvault.com/doctorhydrogen/decks/glissa-the-traitor-edh-7/ so I wouldn't discourage anyone from playing her, but as the leader of an elf deck she doesn't synergize with other elves as well as Nath does, and this particular deck isn't taking much advantage of her artifact recursion.

On the other hand if you build Nath with too many discard effects it can be pretty unfun to play against. I personally try to build decks that, while strong, also lend themselves to fun and interesting games where even the losers had a good time, and blowing everyone's hand doesn't lend itself to that.

I'd maybe test Nath just as is, swap him into the command role and Glissa into the deck and see what happens. If you kinda wind up liking him more you could then sculpt the deck more to work with him if you want.

If you're gonna keep Glissa you could swap out Go for the Throat for Executioner's Capsule. It gives you one more permanent to hit with Primal Surge, but more importantly if you kill someone with Ex Cap with Glissa out it goes back to your hand immediately so you can play it again and do it again.

I'd pull Outland Colossus and Thousand Year Elixir for sure. If you want to keep the untap portion of Thousand Year Elixir you could replace a forest with Wirewood Lodge. I'd keep Genesis Wave; it's really solid. Allosaurus Rider seems expendible. Yeah, it's big but it's also expensive to cast and doesn't have trample.

You could also take a look at Squall Line or Windstorm over Hurricane because they're instants. Squall Line costs one more and Windstorm doesn't do damage to people, but being able to instant cast it at end of the person's turn or in an emergency seems worth it to me.

Got it. Great suggestions. I made most of them already. I agree the deck theme has nothing to do with Glissa's clear artifact ability. So went looking for another general and Nath seemed to be the best fit. If changed to him are you suggesting change the theme to beat you down with elves and discard your cards? Or stay the course with I currently have?

I am the same way when building most of my decks. The duel is the fun part win or lose. Some decks I make to be mean and just win because of my brother. He has 3 EDH decks that are just MEAN! A destroy land, Sliver, and Token decks. Iam talking $200 in cards he bought to beef them up to annoyance level 9. So I may need to make a few of my own lol.

Can you take a look at my immortality deck. Picked a theme in commander that is usually meaningless. Life total. Wanted to know if that would be a deck worth making cause I need to buy most of those cards.

I'd stay with where you are for now just to see if you like Nath, then if you do start looking for slots for stuff like Dark Deal and Syphon Mind.

Thanks for the kind words about my feedback, too :) And I'll take a look at your immortality deck when I get a chance.

Awesome!! Really Appreciate it. Looking forward to the feedback. As mentioned before love to duel and have the mindset that its the journey not the destination that is more rewarding.

For example I dueled my brothers monster token deck yesterday and used this combo to deck him with my Lazav Mill EDH deck.

He had 30+ creatures on the field and I used spin into the myth in sync with living lore's triggered ability and then cast tunnel vision. He all out attacked me on his last turn and I had left enough mana untapped to Aetherize his oncoming army. Boy was he pissed but this was and hour EDH duel so even then he was like nice duel bro.
Very lucky on my part but I was also stalling him the whole way.

What's up Doc? (classic) Was wondering if you had a chance to look over my immortality EDH deck as yet. Value your feedback and want to know out of the commander decks I have listed which ones are worth pursuing t build.

Definitely going with Prime Time but no sure between Elves or my immortality. So as always your feedback is SUPER appreciated!!

Sorry If I am sounding pushy. Just excited to put together some decks with different ideas and see if they can win against my peepz in our magic circle.
