Deck Description

Ever since grozoth came out back in ravnicai have dreamed with a world full of grozoth in all of his 9/9/9 gloryness, so after doing some research got to the cocnclusion almost every decklist is the same,so after doing some testing in the name of fun i came with a different approach. but what unspekeable and horrific aberration i have commited by not using myojin you say? well let me tell you im not using grozoth as a gigantic creature tutor herder thingie, no sir. im using him as a devastating doomsday machine of evil, but that is just a part of the deck... you will notice the deck is a gigantic 260 card pile and some of the cards in it dont make any sense.. AT ALL... ahhh but you see... every card in the deck has a purpose... a secret purpose.. one so secret it conceals thepossible approachs you do during the game... so your opponent will know nothing!
One thing to have clear though is that by any means this deck is not supposed to be competitive, and not even remotely playable outside of your group, it is meant to be fun.. fun because you will be aiming for diferent objectives during each game, you are the hero ( you know you are the real hero grozoth :3) and you will have so many quest in your journey to the most epic win of all time... or you can just hope to get a battle of witts and win... that is ok too...
You will notice the deck will be divided into 2 large groups for the most, spirits and dragons.... and some pesky humans, but there is a reason for this.

How to Play

Most the time you will be doing filtering/draw to help you get the core cards of the deck ( dreamhalls, battle of wits, being the cards you SHOULD be aiming for all the time) once you get dreamhalls in play evrything will go ultra smooth since you can chain draw card into card draw until you find a wincon ( or even bettr if you can get omniscience... but omniscience = win in any deck.. so just saying), dont be afraid of the possibility of having to discard a battle of witts you cannot win with anymore to a windfall or a wheel, you can always switch objectives.
This deck features some alternate win conditions besides the aforementioned big ol' grozoth, so here are some of the objectives you must achieve during your journey to greatness, :
WINNING CONDITIONS
* Battle of wits (you should aim for it if you just want to win like any regular
person).

*HERMIT DRUID

(providing you can untap it and have a way to put a land in play
on that same turn), and this is how: You sacrifice druid to his ability, no basic
lands so he will just mill your whole deck, then you play a land and the 4
bloodghast will return to play from the grave , then you sacrifice 3 of them to
play dread's return flashback bringing back a sun titan, sun titan will bring a land
from grave.. calling the 3 ghast you just sacrified back from the grave, then sac
them again to dreads return, this time bring clever impersonator targetting
titan, repeat until you have the 4 impersonators in play, then with the last
impersonator bring back a phantasmal image, targetting titan, then bring back
the other 3 with the copied titans ETB ability, when the last phantasmal image
enters the battlefield bring back a fires of yamivaya to give your creatures haste,
you will be atacking with nine 6/6 creatures, and remeber those are sun titans,
so they will be bringing something else when they attack, suggested procedure
will be to bring the 2 o' rings followed by the 4 copy nchantments and the
animate dead on Iona and a deed or something else, but it is up to you to decide
for the best course of action. ( maybe a single elixir of immortality to have a back
up plan if this goes sour). Note that this can be done as early as turn 2 if you play
druid turn 1 using a mox or a spirit guide .

GROZOTH + DREAM HALLS/OMNISCIENCE

( the dream halls approach assuming you have no other cards but the one used to
freecast it in hand: discard a random blue card
to freecast grozoth... search library for 3x grozoth, 4x searing winds, 4x denying
winds, 3x blessed winds, 1x Iona shield of emeria, 2x rise of the dark realms, 1x
spirit of night ( not necesary but hey, we are already searching and that guy
belongs to the 9cc club so nothing to do here), 4x dragonstorm, 2x blasphemous
act...and i think is all... pitch 1 blessed wind to get some random dude running an
infinite life deck back to a mere 20, or use it on yourself just because... pitch the
other blessed wind to freecast iona aond probably shut down a dude or two..
pitch 2 searing winds to freecast the other 2 doing 20 dmg to a dude ( remember
we just set someones life total to 20?), pitch 3 grozoths to freecast 3 denying winds
and prive another opponent of all the spells in his library, then pitch 1
blasphemous act to cast the other one and clear the board, just in case, then pitch
rise of dark realms to MASTER IT ALL... at this point it doesnt matter if your
opponents counter one .. or ALL of your spells.in fact... this was just a bait..the
real aim was to build the storm count up to some ridiculous ammounts , now just
pitch a dragonstorm to freecast another one and search for: 4x knollspine
dragon, 1 niv mizzet, 4x kokusho, (instant 20 life loss to everyone and lots of life for
you) 1 x Dromoka(to ensure balls deep commitment and no regrets).. ( if any of
your spells was countered then u will be able to up the storm count and fetch 1
or 2 hellkites) so, with the 20 dmg from winds + the 10 from hellkites the first
knollspine dragon will make you draw 30 cards ( and niv mizzet will make 30
dmg), the 2nd knollspine dragon will draw you 60 card ( and mizzeth will do
another 60 dmgs) the 3rd dragon will draw you 90 ( and again mizzeth will deal 90
dmgs) and the last one will draw you 180 cards,and again those will be another
180 dmgs, you just have to make sure you use the singleton angels grace as soon
as you draw it btween knollspine triggers.. or you will draw to death(unless you
have a labmaniac in play somehow).. BUT if you are a sissy who doesnt want to
risk it, just cast dragonstorm without the mizzet/knollspine stuff and save rise if
the dark realms so u can bring back everything back (including 4 dead kokushos).

INAME DEATH ASPECT + MORTAL COMBAT

( search for 20 or more spirits and put them in the grave, win next turn).

INAME DEATH APSECT + PATRIARCHS BIDDING/RISE IF DARK REALMS

( put every spirit from your deck into play) basically you put 4 kokushos into play,
and then 4 karmic guides to bring them back, so far, thats a 40 life loss for each
opponent, you still have 4 windborn muses. 1 spirit of the hearth and kami of
false hope to defend you and your ridiculous life total if somehow that is not
enough to win...
You have kyra to protect your guys .. godhead of awe will make everyone a
1/1 and shirei will bring back all dead 1/1 at EoT... so you can repeat the cycle
every turn... you can even add 4x yosei to make it even more annoyimg for
opponents, reaver is there so you can draw 8 fabulous cards per turn once the
FIESTA has begun.

INAME + REVENANT

( a regular 20/20 flyer most of the time).

HORIZON CHIMERA + YAWGMOTHS BARGAIN/DROGSKOL RVR.+ LAB MANIAC

( sometimes too risky if u fail to protect maniac while doing the reaver approach,
bargains is a lot safier and can help you find and cast every piece of any combo in
your deck if you untap with it.

MIND OVERMATTER +NIV MIZETT/ QUICKSILVER DAGGER

(tap mizzeth/chump wielding dagger to deal 1 damage and draw a card, discard a
card to untap a permanent).
can deal damage = to the number of cards left in your graveyard.

COOL BUT SOMETIMES IRRELEVANT COMBOS

They may or may not win you the game.. the truth is the deck is so full of random shit that your opponent will try to read every single card you play.. you may drop some combo piece just to create a diversion while you silently assemble the next aberration and buy time for your big play... sometimes you just draw a bunch of random cards and loose :(

*Zur the enchanter: most of the combo pieces include 3cc enchantments of some
sort so Zur is the man you want. he will usually fetch o'ring or pernicious deed
depending on your board position, he can also search for sterling grove if u
need a main enchantment or protect the ones you already have.


on a side note, zur can win by itself if let unmolested a couple of turns(time
stretch for the win) just search for quicksilver daggerand then steerling grove(u
pop grove at EOT searching for Mind over matter)

Enchannted evening + sterling grove ( permanents you control have shorud)

Enchanted evening + Zur ( start fetching copy enchantments and copy all you want)

Enchanted evening + cleansing meditation (need wish or have SB meditaqtion in) (
destroy all permaments, then return to the battlefield from graveyard all
permanents you own that where destroyed this way).

*Zombie infestation + Horizon Chimera + Yawgmoths bargain/enter the infinite
The chimera os only for the bargains part sou can actually draw your whole
library ( enter the infinite doEs not requiere chimera, oly if u want to gain 200
life in the process). Basically you draw your whole library, then discard
everything to fill the board with 2/2 zombies (around 100 tokens) sac 3 of them
to pay dreads return flashback, bring titan, bring fires of yamivaya with titan to
give them haste, profit you can even go super overkill mode and chain clever
impersonators and phantasmal images like a boss.

*Jace erasure +Horizon Chimera + Yawgmoths bargain/enter the infinite
mill your opponents instantly. Best part is you dont even have to wait, if you
have an erasure just pop it asap, remember the deck is filled with draw spells (
that also make opponent draw that many cards, so it speeds the milling even
more).
*Sovereigns of lost alara: just atck and fetch an eldrazi conscription, if the attacking
creature is Zur you can also grab a copy enchantment for lols.

Mindshrieker +Blighsteel colossus + empty library
The empty library part is not hard to acomplish since we have maniac as one
of the winning conditions, but you will need to side in colossus or wish it and
discard it (again, not so hard), so it goes to the top of your library, once you
have milled yourself entirely,colossus will refuse to leave the top, now pay 2
to give your bird +11/+11.

After a testing match and doing the hermit druid approach i realized the elixir backup is for pussies, you can just return laboratory maniac , coalition relic( or any artifact that taps for U) and cephalid colisseum you can win in the spot before damage calculation, remember u still have 6 or 7 more sun titan triggers so you can still fetch animate dead for iona and use the copy enchantments to copy animate dead 4 times ( not sure what to fetch though, Kyra is one for sure) .

More testing done today, seems Sovereigns of lost alara + eldrazi conscription is just a myth.. most of the time the conscription was in my hand or in the grave.. so it became a vanilla 4/5 spirit (since conscription is the only aura it can grab besides quicksilver dagger, and we have zur for that, at a much cheaper cost, and the conscription itself will be an uncasteable aura most of the time so i will do some changes there:

-1 Sovereigns of lost alara
-1 Eldrazi conscription

+1Sekki, seasons guide
+1Pandemonium

So it is gonna be 1 spirit and 1 enchantment out, 1 spirit and 1 enchantment in, the odds of drawing or tutoring for any of them will remain the same, but with the added benefit of being playable cards on their own.

Pandemonium will work as an alternate condition once a bidding or a rise of dark realms resolve, or if it is in play once i have zombie infestation + draw engine. It is also a 2 card combo with sekki, u have sekki enter the battlefield dealing 8 dmg to itself and leaving behind eight 1/1 tokkens... have each each tokken deal 1 dmg to any target then sac them all to bring sekki back from grave, repeat for infinite dmg.

Made some changes on the manabase, removed moxes to reduce cost by.. $6000.
