Deck Description

I've had a form of this deck for a long time. Basically it's blue/white control by bouncing the opponents creatures back to their hands. It has proved to be a pretty frustrating deck for opponents. It can set them behind on getting creatures out to block and they have to keep repaying the same cards to build their base and can't spend more to play their bigger cards (creatures or other spells)

How to Play

Play whatever is necessary to return opponents creatures to their hands and swing in with unblockables and/or with the regular creatures when you can create openings by returning their creatures.

Early game is all about getting an unblockable out and best case is playing Sigil of Sleep on an unblockable creature. Obviously best if Sigil of Sleep is on Invisible Stalker. That's an automatic bounce every turn. I've had opponents just choose not to play creatures because there's no point, it'll just get returned.

Mid game you are looking to get more creatures on your side while waiting for your opponent to think they are smart and play multiple creatures in one turn activating your whiplash trap to return two creatures at once. Then on your turn using Sigil of Sleep or another bounce card to return a third creature.

At some point opponents can usually break free of the return creature and get a good couple of strong creatures out. At this point you are being selective with what you block with on your side and may need to take a lot of damage, but when they try to swing in big you Aetherize to return a lot of their creatures to there hand making them need to start from scratch.

Keep using Reflector Mages, Aether Adepts, and Mistbalde Shinobi's to return creatures and Venser to blink the Mages and Adepts to trigger their EtB abilities to return creatures.

Authority of the Consuls is a cherry on top to keep some openings by gaining life every time they have to replay their creatures and they come in tapped so it still allows you to swing in.

One problem with this deck is that it can be slow to do enough damage to kill. You are usually needing to keep land open to be able to play whiplash trap or aetherize so it can be hard to get enough creatures out to do large damage. The Invocation of Saint Traft is the one card to help buff attack, use your return creature abilities to clear out any fliers so the 4/4 Angel can swing in unblocked. It has been hard to try to add any other buff spells while still having enough spells to adequately control an opponent. A big part of this deck is how to keep the return ability constant, adding one off return creature instants or sorceries hasn't really worked besides with whiplash trap.

Deck discussion for I've Seen You Before...

Think about Aether Vial to speedup things a bit for you. Also you should have some more continous bounce engine rather than spending all cards of your deck just for it. I can for example think of Surgespanner or have something that can continously ping for damage so Sigil of Sleep will trigger more frequently

I feel like some draw could be useful.
Considering the bounce effects keep opponents hands relatively full vs yours, something like Jace's Archivist could work. It would also help getting rid of creatures with strong ETBs, that you don't normally want to bounce.

Other option would be some draw equipment/auras on unblockables, but I feel that's kind of moot, since you are already doing fine if you have an unblockable with Sigil or Invoocation. Would rather play draw independently to get that combo.
