Deck Description

Inspired by Tolarian Community College's Pauper dredge deck tech, I wondered if i could combine some staples of Dredge and splash red for Avatar of Discord and Faithless Looting and see how it would work out. Check out that deck here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0oh87WKtrAw I call the deck Jundyard because it is a Jund Graveyard deck. It also sounds like Junkyard. :P

How to Play

The main point of this deck is to fill up your graveyard by using dredge, Faithless Looting, Grisly Salvage, and Commune with the Gods to play big creatures like Gurmag Angler and Hooting Mandrills early on. This allows us to get huge creatures out on turn 2 or 3. Avatar of Discord is an easy include, since we are most likely going to be casting her turn 3 and putting dredge cards into our graveyard. Very good card for this deck. Running 2 Street Wraith because although it can easily be cycled for dredge, we have other options for putting loads of cards into the yard without paying life. Good card for the deck although I'd rather not run too many. Phantasmagorian is an auto-include. I originally put 4 but decided that we shouldn't dump our entire hand turn 1. We need to keep cards in our hand like Delve cards and lands and such. We're not manaless dredge. Viscera Dragger is an excellent card in this deck, allowing us to dredge our creatures and unearth it for 2 mana is insane! We can cycle it to Stinkweed Imp and then return it later on for a lethal swing. If you want to upgrade the mana base you could run fetch lands and other things like that. Since this is budget we're only running Evolving Wilds and Terramorphic Expanse for fetches. We do need them since this is a three color deck. For removal, we have Disfigure and Doom Blade. Also, you could splash blue for Narcomoeba and Living Lore. The Sideboard is really dependent on your local meta, so I won't talk too much about it here. Duress is really good against any combo deck, and Shrivel is good against White Weenie. Another Doom Blade is really good because Doom Blade is useless against Mono Black, so you could sideboard it out and you could sideboard it in if your opponent is running any deck that isn't running black creatures. Gnaw to the Bone for Aggro and Faerie Macabre for mirror matches. Naturalize is good against affinity and tron.
