Deck Description

Keep seven cards in hand, Fastbond to quickly get all lands out of your deck, then combo Early Harvest with massive card draw to continually generate incredibly high amounts of mana--this being done with Vorinclex and Mirari's Wake. You can use your mana to dump into a game ending Banefire or possibly Omnath or Helix Pinnacle. Demonic Tutor's effect is obvious, Scouting Trek combos with Fastbond, Genesis Wave allows for you to cycle through your deck much faster. Chromatic Lanter, Praetor's Counsel, Avacyn, and Terra Eternal are just there for crash control. Burning Wish grabs the cards you need at the time you need them. Time Warp allows for infinite turns once you can cycle through the whole deck.

maybe some sort of wierd janky combo deck.
but i wouldnt say tempo
drawing cards and having mana isnt tempo

Tempo is a term used in Magic: The Gathering to indicate the advantage gained when a player is able to play more or stronger cards in a shorter period of time due to efficient resource allocation. Essentially, the goal is efficiency. With card draw, I am able to efficiently use every card in my deck; with back up plans, I am able to account for responses that would make my deck inefficient; with Mirari's Wake/Vorinclex, I am able to get up to five times normal mana per land; with the now added time warp, assuming my turns go as planned, they will never end. However, I may need to add something like Omnath w/ Helix Pinnacle for this to work completely perfectly, and early game is weak. Nevertheless, so long as I am being efficient, I am maintaining tempo.

I am playing a deck that wins through the "janky" combined use of very slow creatures, enchantments, and sorceries; thus, I must use my mana sources and other cards as effectively as possible, as well as the turns preceding, to make the most effective use of my combos. If I am being as efficient as possible, I am taking full advantage of time and, therefore, tempo. Don't be insulting with the backhanded use of a phrase like "educate yourself"! Instead, justify your reasoning. I've read through this article, and I don't see how it contradicts my reasoning. Explain.

your only acknowledging half of what tempo in mtg is. your deck is literally the total opposite of tempo.

a u/g deck that ramps mana and draws cards isnt tempo because it has mana and card advantage. in fact card advantage isnt tempo at all, card quality creates tempo.

just like SnT isnt a tempo deck. sure it uses ancient tomb to ramp into shown tell and puts an extremely efficient creature on the field in an unreasonable amount of time. fitting in with your 2 examples of why your a tempo deck, mana ramp and efficiency, yet still its not a tempo deck.

tempo is the COMBINATION of securing your own resources, while limiting your opponents. while at the same time playing higher quality cards and playing higher quality spells. In effect keeping your opponent on their heels the entire time. thats what tempo is. a tempo deck keeps the opponent fighting for "time" and resources while you gain "time", resources, and board state.

your janky combo deck that makes mana and draws cards and takes extra turns is cool and original, but its not tempo.

sure there's aspects of tempo in the deck but its not a tempo deck.
heck just the fact that your running wrath is proof enough its not tempo.
wrath is a stabilizing card, not a tempo card

That makes much more sense. For instance, goblin decks are generally tempo. They make effective use of their mana by playing cheap creatures that are still very powerful due to their synergistic qualities. They gain card advantage through cards like goblin ringleader, and they pair this with powerful yet cheap burn spells to disrupt their opponents momentum as well as remain quick in gripping victory.

I will agree, by your description my deck is not tempo, however, it does have tempo qualities.
