Deck Description

I finally got 50 matches in with my current work-in-progress brew. So here comes a detailed explanation of the deck and an in-depth analysis of the outcome of the matches.
22 won 15 lost (59,46% winrate against the top 10 meta decks)
7 won 6 lost (53,84% winrate against non top 10 meta decks)
(57,99% winrate overall)
Bound to Return is my most successful take on an Angelic Renewal deck yet. To cut the story short me and Belle have been working on several lists utilizing the card to the fullest.
Most of these decks are control/midrange with this deck being no exception, the grindy nature of the deck sets us up for an amazing mid to early late game. Heliod's Pilgrim serves as toolbox tutor to get any on the 1-offs or just a quick Dead Weight if you're in the need for one. Auramancer/Monk Idealist are mainly there to get back Angelic Renewals, Dead Weights, Seal of Doom and Mana Chains and will very often dig something else up the opponent managed to counter/remove. Overall the deck plays very consistent but it mostly starts going at turn 3 making the deck vulnerable to most types of early aggro.
Some nice interactions include
-----Angelic Renewal + Mulldrifter to draw 4 cards and get a 2/2 flyer THIS CAN BE DONE ON TURN 3
-----Angelic Renewal + Monk Idealist/Auramancer to have a "never dying" ground blocker, add Launch to that to make it airborne.
-----Mana Chains on your own Idealist/Auramancer while you have an Angelic Renewal out if you really need to get something back.

The following data is outdated as the deck has changed a lot, I will update this soon:

TOP 10 META MATCHUPS:

2 won 3 lost
Pre-Sideboard Stompy is kinda unbeatable although the Angelic Renewal + Monk Idealist/Auramancer blocker helps, post board with both Prismatic Strands slotted and Chainer's Edict for extra removal it pretty much becomes a 50/50 battle. In which they have to outrace the lock because once it's in place stompy is pretty much crippled till we win.

Pretty much even, playing around counters is key, so is sticking your most important pieces like Guardian of the Guildpact and Angelic Renewal. Monarch cards will only hurt you in this matchup as most critters in your opponent's deck fly.

Atog and Frogmite die to Deadweight, Guardian of the Guildpact blacks everything but the Myr Enforcer and the Gearseeker Serpent. Post-side they will bring Serene Heart which doesn't hurt us too much, just keep in mind using a Deadwiegth to crimp a Emforcer or Serpent isn't a good plan post side. This matchup is an easy steamroll but we do have to look out early game.
Dimir Control Meta:7,14%

This is a hard one especially if they get their Reaping the Graves. I believe the outcome of the test was luck on my part, and that UB Control is not a 50/50 matchup. That being said if we stick a Curse of the Bloody Tome, or get the ground blocker cycle going their handlock doesnt do much on us.
Bogles Meta:7,14%
Matches: 3

2-1 (1)

An absolutely horrid matchup, Guardian of the Guildpact will be your hero blocking everything but Slippery Bogle (do take in mind trample still goes through) which is where Seal of Cleansing comes in handy post-side.

Id say it's 50/50 a battle of whom can out-value the other.

Without recursion or a bigger sheet of counterspells we steamroll these glass-cannon-like decks

MAINBOARD SPREADING SEAS SAYS HELLO as long as we get going before the turns begin counting up rapidly and they begin to assemble tron again and out-race and value us we're good here. its bounce doesn't really effect us neither does the discard.
OTHER NON TOP 10 META MATCHUPS:
7 won 6 lost (53,84% winrate against non top 10 meta decks)
Angler Delver
Matches: 2
2-0
2-1 (1)

Most of the time these decks don't have recursion so as long as we can stall their board we're golden. That being said you gotta watch out for counters and the fact that delver can still out-race you

Really hard to deal with especially with the Distant Melody card advantage.
