I wanted to create a deck that could compete with some of the most competitive decks in Standard and was cheap (if you take out the Gideons (which you side out a lot anyway (they are a good catch-all in game one)) it is only $50).This deck is great against Energy decks and God-Pharaoh's Gift decks, which at the Pro Tour made about 53.1% of the Day 1 metagame.This decks main weakness is that it struggles against Ramunap Red, so please leave suggestions for this match up.Also please leave suggestions for good hate cards in white that I missed.
Literally stop your opponent from doing anything. Use Sorcerous Spyglass to look at what your opponent has and prevent their planeswalkers from doing anything. Play down Tocatli Honor Guard to hose Temur Energy and God-Pharaohs Gift decks (also blocks well against Ramunap Red. Try to use Ixalan's Binding and Gideon's Reproach on important cards for your opponent's deck.
