I\'m making 5 mono color std decks to teach my friends how to play. I play Marvel Vs System with a group of 6 guys, none of whom have played more than a handful of magic games with other people\'s cards. I\'m think I could get them into magic if I make a few easy to use and fun decks. I have a large selction of cards since I have been playing magic for many years both online and with real cards. This is my current Std White Deck / Tribal Deck and one I plan to use to teach the game.

Holy Day and High Ground / Voice of All combo are for the early game. Still it is true, when I play this I tend to get hit hard early. Those cards keep me alive till I can turn the tide turn 5 and later. Hopefully I pull a mindstone early and can play Voice of All on turn 3.
I would add a Martyr of Sands or 4 of them for that matter... then you could gains tons of life early in the game then start your assult.
in my opinion, if you just wanted to get your friends into magic without shoveling out a bunch of cash, but structure decks. Just buy one of each color from like the tenth edition structure decks, and let your friends add cards to make them 60-card decks, so they will be slightly personalized.

You need to add at least 3 serra ascendants... scrap the Saltblasts!
