I also have a Niv deck and the cards I have had the most success with are: - Illuminate (http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=26447) - Invoke the Firemind (http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=83630) and all three Whirlpool creatures from Apocalypse (http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=27671) The neatest trick is getting a Mimic Vat on the board and letting one of the Whirlpools die (even snuffed one myself to start it) and then making copies over and over to keep the effect rolling.
