after the PTQ over the weekend, finishing 4-2, i took a hard look at my deck. 1 of my losses came from me running out of gas game 3, or i would have been in top 8 =( heres the old deck http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=117097 changes: Mainboard -1x Inferno Titan (don't want to pull multiples too early) -1x Basilisk Collar (dead card w/o titan/spikeshot) -1x Searing Blaze (sub/room for burst lightning) -2x Pyroclasm (sub/room for burst lightning) -3x Cunning Sparkmage (doesn't syncs with the deck very well) -3x Spawning Breath (useless mid/late game) -2x Mountain (sub for teetering peaks) +3x Spikeshot Elder (self explanitory) +2x Kargan Dragonlord (more power mid/late game) +3x Molten-tail Masticore (more power mid/late game, save burn spells) +3x Burst Lightning (how i overlooked this is beyond me) +2x Teetering Peaks (coupled with spikeshot elder) Sideboard -2x Goblin Ruinblaster (CMC + Kicker too expensive) -3x Ratchet Bomb (too often killing my own stuff) +2x Brittle Effigy (self explanitory) +3x Ricochet Trap (anti-U control) of course all comments are welcome and invited.
