Too Many Cards!!!

by bszucs1 on 06 August 2010

Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

A blue with red deck focused on forcing an opponent to draw and killing them due to their hand size. An added bonus is the control of the deck which prevents opponents from playing cards keeping their hands full. Please give suggestions on cards to replace but please keep in mind I am not financially gifted so don't suggest 20 dollar dual lands. I do want to keep the deck mostly blue with a little red and no other mana colors.

Deck discussion for Too Many Cards!!!

Swans of Bryn Argoll definitely, DEFINITELY belongs in here! =] It forces your opponent to draw cards, and it can act as an awesome blocker. Barbed Shocker is another nice creature to consider

I have a deck kinda like this (at least in its win condition) that may spur some ideas:

Hope that helped!

Alright I put in the Swans of Bryn Argoll. I din't put in a barbed shocker because I want to keep this a mainly blue deck but thanks for the ideas!

how about killing the singleton counterspell, evacuation, remand, and spiraling embers for a playset of runeflare trap or Gaze of Adamaro for redundant backups to sudden impact: your main source of damage.

I am hesistant to put in more Gaze of Adamaro because it takes two mountain instead of one. Spiraling Embers only takes one mountain so what do you think about adding more spiraling embers?

This deck has some potential. However, you have way too many singletons to make this a deck with dependable behavior. I would take kuansha's advice on those two cards and soulknife has the right idea as well. This is what I would run:
Forced Fruition, Sudden Impact, Barbed Shocker, Swans of Bryn Argoll, Anvil of Bogardan, Black Vise, Viseling, Reality Twist, Ebony Owl Netsuke, Runeflare Trap with 4x on all of those. That is the deck you want. No more no less.

Hmm... you really need those forced fruitions to go off. I would throw a tutor in there maybe. Most useful tutors for you will be white, you might need some mana fixers, or if you are willing to take a chance Gamble would be the way to go for that.

I will take your advice on the runeflare trap. I'm not a fan of barbed shocker. There are other cards that could shuffle my hand for less. In addition creatures would most likely become blocked after 4 mana.

Yeah you know what you need for this deck, The most important thing is to have consistency. Now I have some useful to do with my Forced Fruitions! :)

If you do make a spinoff of my deck let me know! I would love to see your take on the deck. Most peole I know don't run the control factor I use with the stasis and reality twist.
