I love this deck man !!! I have never played EDH properly but am considering making this deck.
I have made a version myself and consider playing Patriach's Bidding rather than immortal servitude (which you obviously aren't allowed to play because of Maralen). Check it out:

Great starting foundation but needs a few alterations:
Creatures - Add in either Augur of Bolas or Snapcaster Mages (and remove the chromatic lanterns), and drop to 2/3 Aurelias. Maybe consider a couple of Restoration Angels as well?

Spells - For a control deck I would say around 7 counter spells is enough - Not a huge fan of Render Silent so would have 3 Counterflux, 2 Dissipate and 2 Izzet Charms in the deck (with an additional Counterflux on sideboard against control decks). With so few creatures I would take out the Blasphemous Acts and maybe drop 1 Supreme Verdict to Sideboard. Consider Searing Spear or Pillar of Flame for cheap removal, and an absolute must is Sphinx's Revelation (2/3 is best). Otherwise consider something like Think Twice.

Enchants - I would go to 2 Detention Spheres (one sideboard for tokens/creature heavy).

Hope this helps, I've made a Patriot Flash Control deck as well if you want to check it out - http://www.mtgvault.com/buzzgsc/decks/patriot-flash-rwu/

Great card for a deck like this is sunflare shaman - allows you to ping off the rest of your opponents life by dealing damage equal to the number of elementals in your graveyard :) i have an elemental deck which works off this idea, and check out my others too !

I have indeed seen the comment - mtgvault's got some new notification system.

Rewind is most definitely underplayed in standard and fills a 4 mana slot nicely, along with talrand.
The burn deck I am currently planning works slightly differently with fewer creatures and more control than aggro, so I see your point in keeping the specialist in there :)

Yes it does, as you "cast" the spell for its overload cost.

Nice day btw mate, I would drop the Runewings and the Incursion Specialists for another copy of Guttersnipe, Electromancer and Blistercoil weird, and add in two copies of Talrand, Sky Summoner.

Fair play - Adaptive Automaton? Riptide Replicator? Urza's Incubator?
And maybe add in something like Sword of Vengeance / Sharpened Pitchfork / Viridian Claw for first strike when you switch P/T

So tempted to make this now !

This deck idea is awesome, very recently tried a mono black variation which works very well!
Maybe sideboard some additional black removal (dismember?) and sundial of the infinite as a back-up for torpor orb?

Nice deck - maybe consider throwing in a leyline of the void or two to stop opponents getting creatures back with exhume ? Or even Bujoka Bogs to exile all cards in advance of exhume

I love this mechanic and is becoming ever more popular - I would consider taking out Traumatize, runs too slow for the deck, and add in something like Archive Trap with a couple of Ghost Quarters to really disrupt your opponent's flow (the quarters force your opponent to search if they want to replace the destroyed land)

Maybe as a replacement for Traumatize look at something like Archive Trap and add in a couple of Ghost Quarters to make your opponent search their library for a land to replace the destroyed one, activated the trap for 0 mana!

Great deck man - discard is one of my favourite mechanics :)
I would say take out the Bloodschief Ascension and Cry of Contritions for Funeral Charm - offers instant speed discard for things like Quest for Nihil Stone, Painful Quandry and Guul-Draz Specter. Also don't see much room for monomania, so I would suggest a Bloodgift Demon or two for some late game card draw, or to make your opponent draw and force him to discard.
Take a peek at mine mono-black discard too: http://www.mtgvault.com/buzzgsc/decks/dark-discard-b/
If you could recommend a one-drop creature/enchant/artifact that would be great :)

Like this deck, seems it would play very fast for a mill mechanic :) couple of changes though...
Broken Ambitions isn't the best, Induce Paranoia fills the mana curve and is a more guaranteed mill for 4 mana.
Don't see the point in Creeping Tar Pit - Would go for Terramorphic Expanse/Evolving Winds to run off the Crab, and Ghost Quarter works really well with Archive Trap, destroying target lands and making opponent search their library for a replacement.
Apart from that awesome modern mill deck !

Check out my alternate combo mill deck and my others too - http://www.mtgvault.com/buzzgsc/decks/fast-mill-ub-2/

Suggested really good combo for mill decks if you're using Archive Trap: http://www.mtgvault.com/buzzgsc/decks/fast-mill-ub-2/
Add a few Ghost Quarter to make your opponents search their libraries for a replacement land, and destroy a land too :)
Great deck though mate, love mill !

Nice concept man, but would definitely look at adding 4 Mind Funeral in, absolutely epic in mill decks and probably take out a set of doom blades. I would also take out a traumatize or two, and potentially the tutors, and add in a set of Hedron Crab and some Terramorphic Expanse/Evolving Winds to play off. Great start though mate :)

Sliver Legion !!!!
Also Descendent's Path works incredibly for sliver decks, and consider a mutavault or a few

Playing a very similar concept to this - http://www.mtgvault.com/buzzgsc/decks/landslide-terravore-gr/
One of my favourite mechanics so glad people are still making terravore-based decks.
Rogue elephant works insanely well with harvest wurm, and throw in some wild mongrels to get lands from hand -> graveyard too

Awesome deck, and seismic assault works very well so needs to go in, may have to add a few to my terravore deck
http://www.mtgvault.com/buzzgsc/decks/landslide-terravore-gr/

Just looking at your mana curve, i would put in a few razes to add to early game land destruction, and put in some cheap land finders as well.
