this deck is interesting, but it works in too many mechanisms into it. To make it more efficient, you should just stick with one or two things: discard damage, but not draw damage, creature destruction vs discard, life syphoning vs damage from creatures, etc. choose less and improve the ones you decide on.

If you decide to stick with the syphon soul (replace with syphon life), keeping the vamps that mainly do 2 damage or equivalent, put in bloodchief ascension!!!! for sure
take out underworld dreams, add 4x horrifying revelation, keep only liliana caress (not megrim) take out feast of blood, blood tribute, replace with diabolic tutor(demonic if you have the money) no need for life gain with goal of bloodchief ascension.
take out geth's verdict, put in 2 more gatekeepers, 4x pulse tracker, take out bloodseeker, subversion, bloodhusk ritualist(replace with hymn to tourach)
add hexmages for plainswalker control, 4x hideous end, take out anowon (replace with 4x bloodghast)
sorry it was all over the place in the description, but I think that's about it. I kinda changed the whole thing around, but I'm already in the process of making a deck very similar to the one i just described. the focus is not at all on vamps tho.

I agree. Too many directions at once makes it difficult to play solidly and turns it into more of a guessing game. Will I pull this or that? Much better to stick to one thing maybe a splash of something else, like creature removal.

I would drop the discard stuff or focus more on it. One or the other.

Hey thanks for your comment on my vampire deck! This one has some pretty good vamps too, and an interesting idea. The first thing i notice...you only have 2 vampire nighthawks??? Every vampire deck should have 4, that card has single handedly carried me to many victories. Another great vampire that i believe deserves to be in every deck is called bloodghast, put 4 into that deck immediately! If you need space for these vampires, i would drop the cards that have to do with discarding and sideboard them, while keeping your main 60 cards an aggro strategy. Other than that, you have a nice group of cards here! Keep up the good work!

Like I said in the description of my Vamp deck, I've never made or played with a Vamp deck before, so I can't suggest much. Surgical extraction mite be a good cards to add, you do have kill and some discard :p

There is no need for a bloodhusk ritualist. There is no other discard in this deck and by itself its not worth it. I would replace it with vampire night hawk.
You are probably playing casual and/or know this but demonic tutor is banned in legacy. if you took them out I would replace them with either nocturnous or +2 pulse trackers

theres plenty to go from on a vampire deck. i myself love my vampire deck and have been building on it since the begging of my magic career. i would suggest cards such as blade of the bloodchief or if u wanna splash in some red go with a olivia voldren ooooor if uve got the bucks to do it id suggest a white flare of the new sorrin (seeing as everyone wants it..including me)

I find that kalastria works super well in this type of deck. How I know? built my own vamp deck thats almost exactly like this one back in the summer... Never updated the list on this website but i have upgraded my deck itself.
