I see, but I'm not saying you have to create a discard deck, or infect or land destruction, what I'm saying is that your deck should focus on one thing regardless of what it is. Making it more consistent. Just trying to help ;)

Also I would suggest you make your deck focus on ONE thing, at the most two. If you water down the deck with too many different things, the deck becomes ineffective and inconsistent and you will have trouble winning games. As I can see your deck is currently focusing on 3 objectives: discard, infect and land destruction.I know you said you didn't want the deck to win, but I guess you wouldn't mind winning some games, right? :PBelieve me. I learned it the hard way, I used to put cards in my decks because they looked fun and I wanted the deck to do so many different things, the problem is, it never works that way. It's much easier to play the deck if you know what your main goal is. Just a little tip for your future deck-builds ;)
If you want to kill lands by making them artifacts I suggest that you try "March of the Machines" once the land becomes an artifact it dies to state based effect because it becomes a 0/0 creature. ;) Then you don't need artifact removal to get rid of the lands. It's blue though so you need to change your mana base. ;) Still, it's a fun little combo and the card is not expensive at all, so it works with your budget. :)
Haha, I see :) Anyway, I need to test this deck alot in the coming days. I really wish for it to become a competitive deck.
You mean Myr Retriever? :)
I have changed the numbers. I added 4 of each common, 3 of each uncommon, 2 of each rare and 1 of each mythic. Too bad I can't add the conspiracy cards here.
Actually the Paradise Mantle, Pili-Pala and Training Grounds make infinite mana.... I think you forgot that untapping Pili-Pala also produces one mana of any color. So whenever you tap Pili-Pala it generates one mana which you use to untap Pili-Pala you have now 1 mana of any color. Tap again, to use the same ability, you now have 2 mana of any color.I also thought that it didn't produce infinte mana, but it actually does.
Hmmm, thanks for your thoughts. I have recently started to play the Dragonstorm deck, so I need more practice, before I try to change the deck. But thanks for your suggestions on more Dragons, I might try that as well :)
I know... At the time I made this deck I didn't have Shambling Shell, that's the reason why ;)
If the cost of the spell was completely colorless you could get it down to zero mana. The Electromancer's ability only make the colorless mana cheaper, not the colors. So I could only get Stone Rain to cost 1 red mana, as the red mana symbol is a color. But, yes his ability stack ;)
Yeah, good luck to you too :)
I really love the idea. Later I removed Kiki-Jiki from the main board because of it's greedy mana-cost, and of course replaced it with Splinter Twin. But now I want to retry kiki-jiki with your Mystical Teachings-idea. I really think it's worth a try. I have also been playing control for a long time. I used to play UWR-Delver, but chnaged to this deck just to try something new. Thanks for your suggestion, I might test it the next time I play at FNM :D
Hehe, thanks :)
Aha, I see... Isochron Scepter and Silence is not a combo, but is often used to protect the combo of a deck... The bad thing is that I need both of them.... Chalice of the Void works on its own, same with bridge and leyline.... But anyway, thanks for the tip :)
This is not a combo-deck, and besides Isochron Scepter + Silence is too slow and takes up space for other good cards ;) :P
Exactly :)
Yes, that is exactly the reason. I wouldn't shock myself to draw a card and look at my opponent's hand anyway. Except for early in the game when I can fake to have a counterspell Besides, saving mana for my counterspells or other instants until end of my opponent's turn I have found to be a very good tactic.
I'm not sure either actually... I thought about putting Wrath of God in sideboard to side out Supreme Verdict in case I'll meet some regeneration-creatures like Thrun, the last troll...Anger of the Gods is a good sweeper, no doubt, and it will kill most things in modern and the exile ability is nice. Thanks for the suggestion! If living end creatures didn't have high toughness I would definitely use it in my sideboard.
Also, do you know of more protection spells other than lightning greaves or swiftfoot boots???
Aha, thanks for the advice. I think I will put some protection on him. Is Athreos an effective commander?
