Deck Description

This came from my love of the pre-Twilight vampire lore. Especially the Anne Rice series and the original Dracula. Would like to play this in modern if anyone has any suggestions for what I can swap the dark rituals with? (Although getting Vampire Nighthawk on turn 1 is really awesome!) Hope you guys enjoy this.

How to Play

Pretty simple: cram out as many Vamps as fast as you can and suck every last drop of life points out of them. Suggestions welcome

Deck discussion for Sanguino Vampiris

If you're not worried about slimming it down to 60 cards and keeping it a little less competitive and somewhat more casual. I would - 4 Dark Ritual and -1 Increasing Ambition. +2 Sanguine Bond and +3 Exquisite Blood. Its a fun little infinite combo that can fits your Vampiric lore theme nicely. And its an infinite combo which is always fun.

Even if you don't get both Sanguine Bond and Exquisite Blood out at the same time, both cards are pretty strong on their own.

Check out my mono-black Vampire deck and let me know what your think. Mine doesn't have quite as much flavor as yours, but it's slimmed down for a little more competitive play.

I like that combo. I have that in my Extort deck. I just don't enjoy using a combo like that on people BC it doesn't give them much of a chance to fight back. I like the opposition. I have considered putting only one exquisite blood BC like you said it is a great by itself and would be useful more than sanguine bond. And I wouldn't get both together often which wouldn't be too cheap to me. I just hate when people use this combos relentlesly. That to me goes with using Tinker to get Blightsteel Colossus out on turn 3. That really pisses me off. As for your competitive vamp deck I really like what you have put together. I would imagine you see a number of wins with it. How do you deal with the recent influx of enchantments thanks to Theros?
